It's Like Anyone Can Be A Plumber!

So easy to use, even I can do it.
I installed two new toilets in two remodeled bathrooms. In one, the new floor had been installed and the flange was slightly higher than the floor. No problem. The rubber Fluidmaster sealed completely. No leaks, no worry about adjusting the toilet position after it's placed, no mess.
In the second bathroom the floor hasn't been installed yet. I wasn't going to put the second toilet in until the floor was installed. But the tank on the old toilet broke so I didn't have any choice. This flange was MUCH higher than the floor. I had to tighten the toilet down a little more than I felt comfortable doing but it doesn't seem to have hurt anything. Just like the first, no leaks, no problems. Even with the ultra-high flange. Just take the thin, pre-installed seal/spacer off the Fluidmaster rubber flange and it was good to go. And I won't have a wax ring to worry about when I remove this toilet to install the floor.
These Fluidmaster rubber seals worked great and I highly recommend them.

I didn't want to jinx it

I live in a 1950's lakehouse and the bathroom flooring is very uneven, it slopes toward the exterior wall (on cement block crawlspace) and also towards the north (no idea why). In the past 4 years since I bought this place, I've had to get a plumber to replace the wax ring once every 8-9 months. He even tried new flanges, putting on 2 wax rings, etc. - it still would leak eventually. Spacers to keep the toilet level also didn't work.
So I decided to hire a new plumber since I'm not doing this stuff myself. I bought 2 of these Fluidmasters since I wasn't sure how many would be needed. Although since using MY purchased parts he would give me no warranty, I said go ahead and use this. He wanted to put ANOTHER wax ring on. Nope, not doing that again. He had never used one of these before and he's been a licensed plumber for 20+ years. He ended up using only one so I have a spare for the other bathroom (that's a more level floor on a newer bedroom addition).
I've been waiting. I didn't want to jinx this by writing a review too soon. It's been a year today and no leaks (knock on wood!)

Don't ever buy a WAX ring again!

I have used these before but this is the first time I've purchased on Amazon. Messy wax rings are a PAIN, both to clean off when removing a toilet and when installing as they are not re-positionable if you miss your mark when lowering the toilet onto the floor flange. These can be repositioned over and over and simply don't leak. They can also be heightened (e.g,. if you installed a new tile floor on top of the former flooring) by using a 2nd (included) foam ring. I have no idea why anyone would use a wax ring ever again.
Works as advertised

If you have never used one of these I strongly advise trying them, I'd be willing to bet you'll never use a wax ring again, yes I would buy it again, and yes I would recommend to anyone
