Its good for flake type herbs the are dried and soft but not anything hard. Peppercorn ripped my old ones screen out and the little handle at the top is weak and can break if over full when grinding. Leaving it quit powdery and fine since the screen is thin. Cumin and other Indian spices do well in it . Cheaply made

All plastic, even the grinding part. Would have worked for what I needed it for if the part that pressed against the metal mesh was not plastic as well. It will grind pieces of plastic with whatever your grinding. Pay a little more and get a metal one.

I have now bought 2 in the last month and a half first one broke on first use and now second one on third use! Very poor quality do not buy! This is not the old Deering grinder from the 80"s

The plastic handle has already broken, but otherwise it works as it should. It's ok. The good news is that I could use a paper clip as a replacement handle. But still. The handle needs to be better designed.
