They are absolutely perfect, we almost never get hair down the drain if they are positioned correctly. They do tend to grow mold and mildew if you live in a humid area so definitely leave them on the tub floor to dry after you take the hair out rather than putting it back. Also rinse off any excess shampoo/conditioner on them

I wanted to wait a while before writing a review. I've had ALL the drain catchers. I mean all of them. The flower one with the chain, the different domed covers, the different bowl looking ones, etc. This one, however, has been the best. I have very very long hair and my husband sheds like crazy. We were snaking the drain often, even with those other ones. But we haven't done it one time since getting this. It's a little harder to clean, BUT it doesn't get disgusting like the other ones, because it actually catches the hair. It is super easy to put in the drain, the fit is perfect, etc. the other ones let hair slide down anyway, and then the water sits in the tub, and the hair ends up moldy and the drain cover ends up nasty. This one hasn't done that. I'm really pleased with it.

I've read reviews of people saying it doesn't fit?!? Measure your drain and if it's 1.5" - 1.75" it will fit. I have long hair and a lot of it. I've tried so many other products and they get clogged up very easily and leave a pool of water while I'm in the middle of a shower. Not with this. I have a shower head with really powerful water flow, I use very creamy conditioners and body washes, my hair is long and thick, and this does not clog up at all! I only have to clean it once per week and it's very easy, you just let it dry then pull the hair off. The only regret I have is that I didn't know about this much sooner.

The Tub Shroom definitely cuts back on any clogging of the drain! I had a metal version of this previously and found that it was more difficult to remove the hair/grime off the metal one, and the little black seal on the bottom of that one kept coming off when "plugging it in". It lasted a while and finally got so gross it just couldn't be cleaned well enough anymore. I went to order another one, and it was back ordered/wouldn't be delivered for over a month. I was looking through the options and decided to go with this more rubbery/silicone version. I find that this one fits better in my drain, and it's so much easier to pull hair out of when cleaning! Perhaps that means hair is more likely to sneak by in the tub, but, so far it seems to be working well and we haven't had any drainage issues. When the time comes, I will likely opt for this version again due to ease of cleaning since that needs to be done so regularly. I knocked off one star because the bottom does appear to already be becoming a bit warped. If that is the only trade-off from metal version to this one, I'll take it :).

I am absolutely blown away by how good this thing works. We've used all sorts of hair catchers over the years, plastic and metal. Ultimately when enough hair is caught it stops draining. So far with this thing it catches a bunch of hair and the tub still fully drains. Highly recommended. Bonus that it comes in orange so the discoloration from my hard irony water isn't as noticeable. Just a great product.
