Picture is misleading. I ordered yellow and received red. Then as I went to return and exchange for the right color; I figured hey at least I should try them on so I know I got the right size. I couldn't get the latch undone to put my foot in. If I would have tried any harder the latch would've broken off completely.
Regarding the picture. These have absolutely no ankle support. It's the size of a normal shoe basically and is all hard plastic with nothing to hold and support your ankle.

This would have received a 5 but we received the wrong color for the second time. They are comfortable and seem to be a good quality skate. My son is 11 years old and the size 38-41 is perfect. He has it on the smallest setting so there is a little room to grow. He wears a 6 shoe normally.

The built quality seems ok. Although the wheels don't spin as fast as it should by the advertised ABEC-7 standard. But it shouldn't be a problem if your kid just started. Also watch out for the size. It's confusing with the conversion between US and UK standard.
