A little over 1/8" thick, made of very dense MDF or another composite board. Super durable and the back is coated in a protective layer as well. Highly recommend for a class setting. I'm currently using these with transparency markers to create modular dungeons and dragons boards. I also keep one in my work bag for meetings and I use one in my Jeep as a navigator's grease board for plotting points and important navigation info. Fantastic product and at this price, you really can't go wrong.

I have had these for a year now in my classroom. For the most part they have held up well. They are easy to clean. Some of the corners have chipped off with wear and tear.

Love these! I use them in my art studio to tape my watercolor paper onto them. One side is a very smooth white and the other side is gray - both neutrals, making it the perfect color surface for artists. Corners are rounded and edges are smooth. They are perfect for artists and what a deal!
