Excellent! lightweight, precise, requires no batteries. One of the best tools I have purchased.

These calipers are pretty accurate but you have to be careful of the burrs on the machined edges. The dial lock knob was bent hard and I can't tell if it was actually threaded or just pressed in place (I was scared to try and straighten it in fear it would break). I bought these to do precise scribing and layout work and for that they work just fine. I would not use them for my every day carry calipers because I only trust them to within about .005 or so. I'm still glad someone makes affordable calipers these days anyway.
Better than you'd expect at this price

Repeatability and easy calibration for good general use. For its price it's better than expected. Worth getting!
Does anyone know what the second twisty dial thingy is for? Really good value for the $, I must say.

Everyone says the case is junk. And it is. Mine showed up broken as well. But the caliper itself seems excellent. The dial, when zeroed out (caliper full closed) is EXACTLY on the zero mark. Swiss-like precision. It seems heavy and seems like ridiculously good for the $$$.
Now if only someone could tell me what that second dial is for (not the one that secures the calipers or allows the caliper to slide. The other one, on the bottom (think 6 O'Clock) of the dial. What the heck is that for??? If anyone can tell me I'll send you a Dove Ice cream bar, a used pair of socks, a dessicated hair ball I just found yesterday while vacuuming, and a baseball signed by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Unless, that is, you'd rather have another hair ball.
