HI- I bought these pliers (and the lip gripper) after I bought 2 ENTSPORT spinning rods. I was so impressed by the quality of those rods that I decided to take a look at the pliers (and grippers). I am really impressed by these pliers. They are solid---(except for the holes in the handle) and honestly- look like something that came out of my tool box and not my tackle box. I usually just use needle nose pliers- but these have so many more functions- like a good cutter made out of tungsten- and the rest of the jaw (interior) is stainless steel- so there is nothing on these pliers that will rust.

They have a nice lanyard and a really nice case. I will put the case on my belt- and hook the lanyard onto my belt loop. That way I wont have """ANOTHER""""lost pair or """"ANOTHER"""" pair that isn't handy when I need them. There is a sharp point right on the end- which is for opening split rings, and these have a spring in them to open- so that you dont have to operate them "one handed."

These are aluminum to prevent any corrosion even in salt water.

They cut, they crimp, they remove hooks, the point on the end helps open tight knots, they remove hooks, and many many more functions- but BEST OF ALL---They are HIGH QUALITY- with a very good lanyard so that you wont lose them. I might even hook mine onto the boat somewhere- except they will always be somewhere other than where I need them. My solution is to get 2 or 3 pair.

All of the ENTSPORT products are very good. They seem to really know fishing and really do make and sell well thought out, well made products. I have personally tried 2 spinning rods, 2 baitcast rods, 2 baitcast reels and 2 spinning reels- PLUS the pliers and grippers and I couldn't be happier with them for the price, and the quality. ESPECIALLY when you compare them to thier competitors- they are much much better value and quality.

I just got an ENTSPORT "color" baitcast- which is a lighter rod- which I plan on using for crappie or trout. I can't wait to put it thru its paces-- Its a really great rod.

Good price on a pair of pliers that does everything I need them to do. Cuts braid well, and works decently enough for swapping split rings on all but the biggest hooks. Holster is a little loose, but it does have a velcro retention strap. They feel solid in the hand and don't have any play.

Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

These are pretty sturdy pliers, actually. I've been using these for approximately 6 months with weekly to biweekly fishing trips to salt and fresh water. A little rinse off them afterwards, wait for them to dry and put them back in the holder. They've held up pretty well without rust, though I am not exactly yanking a hook out of a beast. The split ring part has been super useful even for things like my keys. The line cutter has been sharp cutting through both braid and mono without issues or excessive fraying. I would definitely buy this product again. The only caveat may be if you work with a lot of steel leaders, if so, maybe a different set of pliers would work better for you, otherwise these have been great.

Rusts on the most important part, the jaws. Then the line cutter unscrews on one side and the cutter falls out. Find something better than this style.

Great set of pliers! Always ready and willing and have held up well to all elements. Would buy again, but I don't think they will ever break!
