Does what I was looking for

It's just the right item to get my laptop to the same level as my 2 other screens. I've used the slanted versions of these types of adjustable platforms, but I use a docking station which would generally need to be readjusted before docking.
With this I can have it lay flat and high enough that all my screens are now level with each other.
Only con is that it does taking a bit to get each positioning lock in place. Sometimes needed to gently wiggle the leg to get the button to go all the way in and release.

This stand is simply amazing. Very easy to set up and adjust. Holds my Macbook air wonderfully. Just wish it fit into a backpack for easier travel. Fits in a suitcase just fine though. Wonderfully made.

I ended up using the device without adjusting the arms at all. I needed only a couple of inches height, and had some difficulty adjusting the height and angle to my preference. I am not very patient and others might have better luck by investing a few more minutes.
