works great

Used this as an anchor for our children's tire swing. It works well but the self-expanding bolt mechanisms leave a bit to be desired. They kept loosening up on me and freaking me out like my kids would end up taking an unexpected ride into the neighbors yard! So, this year I was going to yank them and put in some lag bolts. As I tried to remove them, whadda-ya know, I couldn't and they seemed to tighten up. So I decided to let it ride and see if they would stay tight. So far they've stayed tight. My advice if you are using the included hardware is to keep on tightening those suckers up even though you think they're just going to come out. Eventually they'll lock up solid. Or, go get some lag bolts right off the bat and chuck the included hardware.

An excellent and strong swivel. Very easy to install. Works perfectly for a porch swing for kids that love to spin. I didn't need the wall anchors but they're unusually good quality.

I purchased this back in April 2016 for my 9 y/o daughter who has autism, and loves to swing. It took me an additional month or so to actually get around to having it installed in her playroom (as other have mentioned, the bolts that are included are useless) but once I did, we used it with a cloth hammock swing. My daughter is tall, and weighs maybe 80lbs or so, and for the time that the mechanism was intact, she enjoyed swinging for several hours a day after school. Within only 5 months, the loop which attaches to the ceiling had worn completely through, which caused the swivel hook to snap loose from the loop, causing the swing to crash to the floor with my daughter in it. (thankfully, she wasn't hurt) The swivel portion was completely undamaged. Per the description, this set is rated at an 1,100lb weight limit, and no one else besides my daughter has ever used it. I have contacted the company in hopes that they may be able to offer a resolution in the form of a stronger ceiling loop, or perhaps they will be able to advise me of whether or not they believe the loop that we received may have been defective. I will update this post once I have received a reply from the company.

I received a fairly 'generic' response from the company, simply stating that they do not have a stronger ceiling loop available, but would "send me one" if they ever decided to manufacture one. They never offered a single explanation as to why a set being advertised as having a weight-load bearing of 1,100lbs, would wear thin and break under the weight of an 80+lb child, while being used with an indoor, fabric hammock swing, in a small playroom....within a matter of months. They never asked for additional photos, nor that I mail the item back to them for inspection, so that they could at least determine whether or not it was defective. They never inquired as to how we had the item set up, nor did they express any regret for my child's fall. I even sent them a follow-up inquiry via the Amazon platform, and they have NOT responded within the allotted amount of time. I am actually very disappointed. One would think that they'd be interested in ascertaining whether this was a manufacturing defect, in order to prevent this type of thing from happening in the future, as well as to ensure quality control. My daughter was lucky, in that she wasn't injured in her fall, however, the next child or adult may not be so lucky. I CANNOT in good conscience recommend this product to anyone, and in light of the fact that I received such poor customer service regarding this issue, I will be changing my review from two stars, to one star. Buyer Beware!
