Usually very good, but last time was gritty and off-colored.

I order pints of Cherry Garcia through Amazon Prime and it's usually very good, but the last two pints I ordered the other day were darker colored and tasted very gritty indicating they had melted at one time and was then refrozen. The Häagen-Dazs strawberry I ordered at the same time was perfectly delicious. I hope the grainy issue is resolved soon, but I fear this incident has put me off Cherry Garcia through Amazon Prime. I ended up throwing the two pints out.

Ben & Jerry's, Cherry Garcia Ice Cream, Pint (473 mL) (4 Count), from Ben & Jerry's.
This is the only Ben & Jerry's ice cream that I buy, -because I like it, and it because it brings back memories of the Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia, who it was named for. The only complaints that I have about it, are that it contains guar gum (for mouth feel?), and carrageenan, -a gel dairy thickener. I hate gums in my food. I want to eat it, not sit there and chew it. I also don't like thickeners, as my favorite natural ice cream (Haagen-Dazs) is thick enough without adding gelatin. All that being said, I give this Cherry Garcia ice cream a rating of four Amazon stars.
