Glad I bought it

I'm going to organize my review in 3 parts:

1) Pros
2) What needs improvement
3) Overall product

The device uses AES 256 encryption which is thee very best. I can't imagine not having a device like this on hand now that I'm getting into information assurance. It's portable; it logs you out; it has a decent UI giving you all you need; and it just looks slick. Oh yeah it can hold... what... 125 account subset details. I am VERY glad it has been recommended by reputable sources (helped me make the purchase). It is also offline"” although I'm not sure how I would be able to check, if it truly is offline.

Cons. . . The friggin screen doesn't light up! 💡 how about some backlit keyboard buttons as well... (I promise you that if this device had these 2 extra things, you would see an increase in sales from word of mouth alone.)
Besides that I personally have not seen any flaws, maybe the button press could be a little better... if it was possible to make the buttons like an old school Virgin Mobile LG Rumor 2 with the slide out keyboard?... it doesn't have to slide (I love the fact that this devices thickness fits in a wallet!!!), but a different kind of button layout maybe?

Overall I would totally give this as a gift to someone who is online a lot. The device is a great thickness; I have no idea how it's so jam packed together

Value for money? Heck yeah it's worth the security.

It's amazing. It just needs LED/LCD backlights
I like this little device

Ever since I got Windows 10, my fingerprint reader with the password vault doesn't work, so I printed out all my passwords. Normally, those passwords are kept locked away, but I had to have them with me to get into my sites. That's so insecure. I like this little device, because I don't have to worry if my software is actually malware. It's small, so I can keep it hidden, and it is password protected in case I lose it. I have to have my glasses to read it, but my eyes are pretty bad. The numbers and letters are easily distinguishable, especially between 0 and O, and l and 1 and I. I can search my entries, but I don't have much entered just yet. The one thing I don't like is I can't seem to edit entries, just add and delete. If I make a mistake, I have to delete and add it back.

_______________

UPDATE 5/14/16: So the maker corrected an error. Yes, I can edit the entries. There's the edit button at the bottom left corner. Oh, and the font can be adjusted darker. The only problem? I have to go online and watch a tutorial or read the instructions. Wish the instructions were included. Still four stars.
Security good, ruggedness lacking, price is right

This is a credit-card-sized secure password store, featuring a keyboard and LCD display. It uses encryption to protect against hardware probing attacks, more on this later. The small size makes it portable, but (breaks my heart to say it) it isn't really rugged enough to carry in your pocket; mine cracked after a couple weeks despite being in a protective case. The keyboard and LCD are big enough to use if your vision and dexterity is good, and I don't see how it could be made much better without compromising on size. Older folks with arthritis and poor vision may struggle. The LCD contrast is adjustable in the settings; some of the reviewers here dissing the diplay seem unaware of that.

If you intend to carry this in your pocket, I recommend protecting the top side with a metal plate (of the sort used to cover electrical wiring, for example), or the display will crack. A knapsack or ladies' purse should be fine as it is.

The encryption feature requires you to enter a key (separate from your password) that you don't have to remember, and you only type it in once the first time you use it. This is doubtless the "session key" for the encryption algorithms and it is important to get maximum information entropy to keep the encryption strong. I recommend going to random-dot-org to get a truly random key for this. The internal electronics contain a 32 kilobye EEPROM and a Nuvoton N78E366 microcontroller with an 8051 core. The encryption session key, logically I presume, is stored in the internal flash, but the changing password data (encrypted) in the external EEPROM. This arrangement hardens the device against someone reading out the EEPROM (with a $35 Arduino, for example). The processor, though, is not a security-hardened device, so someone willing to spend $50,000 could probably crack it with microprobing, overclocking, or a side-channel attack. If forensic labs, spy agencies, or professional Bitcoin thieves are part of your threat model, you will need more than this, but if hooligans and opportunistic thieves are your concern, for twenty bucks you get much better security than a paper notebook or pricier competing models that appear to be crackable with electronic hobbyist tools.
When in Doubt, Go to Printed Instructions and/or Video!

I hesitated to buy this due to multiple poor reviews, but then realized that those reviews were generally not about things like lost data, device dying, etc. The other decice I considered buying here on Amazon received many reviews related to those very issues, and seemed too iffy to take a chance upon. Since price of passwordsFAST was reasonable, I ordered it (fast delivery) and while waiting to use it I watched the video tutorials on the device's website.

Very informative and helpful, so that upon opening my device for the first time I was able to enter password, etc., and begin immediately adding entries. The videos are somewhat redundant but they get their points across. There are two main cautions: Do not press two keys at the same time, you must first press Fn or "Blue" Function key before utilizing it for all entries involving "blue" keys, such as numbers and punctuation marks; do not press or hold down the Shift key while also pressing the letter you wish to capitalize...press Shift and then the letter. This can be time consuming but soon becomes second nature.

Now, about having enough waiting time, especially while learning, before screen reverts to previous one and current (only) inputted data is lost. This is easily adjustable and can be extended to quite a long period of time. Just check the paper instructions that come along with device on how-to, and you can also learn how to change contrast level of screen.

Yes, the keys are sometimes a pain and I'm only entering about 6-7 passwords before taking a short break. However, the only one I'm really having a problem with is the backspace, and I have a feeling that is because it is the outermost key and I may not be positioning my finger the same way I do with other keys. I'm going to try using a pencil with eraser on the end and see if that works better for all keys.

I hope that future iterations of the device will have improved keyboard...are you listening to all the complaints about this, seller? Overall, I would buy again so that I can have offline access to my passwords. (I attempted to use an online password vault on a free trial but found it complicated, confusing, and time consuming to learn.)

It's so nice and small that I just know I will lose it around the house, so for now I carry it in my bird binocular case which is too big but hard to lose (picture)! Manufacturers might try making a brightly colored case for this device, large enough to be easily found, and not an expensive material...something simple that has snap closing.

ADD: I've found that using the keys is much easier if I press them with an angled eraser that fits on the end of a pencil...see photo.
Great traveling password holder.

This is my second one. Lasted a few years before the buttons started to not make contact and the film started to crack. However, it is super light and thin, very easy to take with you traveling and its secure because its not online. Down side is it takes forever to put all your passwords in it especially if you have many. Takes three button pushes to add one number, kind of like texting with an old flip phone. After all is input its easy to retrieve what you need and works well. Its biggest positive for me is its size. Its a good product overall.
