Sort of works

Carb, itself, works. But, mounting location on tank is incorrect (as mentioned by others). Thought that maybe they had fixed it by now, but no. Product was returned no problem. However, if your old tank is OK, you can easily mount this new carb on your old tank. Or, like others, you can screw around with drilling a new mounting hole on your lawnmower.
Screw blocks hole where you install air filter.

Installed carb and the machine started right up.Go to install air filter but the hole to receive the bolt has a screw in it that won't come out.I ended up solveing the problem by removing the carb from the tank and knocking the screw out that way.....

Wow, i'm pleasantly surprised how well my 40 year old 3.5 B//S Murray mower runs after fitting this low cost carb./tank to it. Sure i had to drill the quarter inch bracket hole out to 5/16" with my new step bit. Then source a metric bolt for the right end/side of the tank. My old air filter bolt was now a 1/4" to short to thread in. So then i ball peened hammered the air cover down so it now fits nicely as a possible water injection funnel if i cut grass it in the rain., ha, ha,. I gave 5 stars because this new part has to fit so many different brands of mowers/edgers etc., plus at least 4 different engines sizes. Now that's hard to pull off. It starts on one weak pull after 3 pokes on the red bulb. The spark safety switch on this engine is my next fix as i have it hot wired in on, on, only now. It's like the cable has stretched a half inch to make it appear as a bad coil problem when the old coil is fine. Plus as others have mentioned here this carb. .throttles down to off which i need now. Tip: Don't loose that bigger bolt sleeve that goes between the tank and the engine. Plus be careful not to break that plastic rudder thing that connects to the carb. spring linkage when removing the old tank or carb..

Excellent, perfect replacement part for my 17 year old Lawn Machine lawn mower. The main problem was a defective primer bulb, but for only $26, I go an entire replacement for the carburetor, primer bulb, and gas tank which was far easier to install than having to specifically replace the bulb. Took under 10 minutes to install and works like a charm.
Next time Briggs & Stratton

Exemplifies "made in China." I hope it will suffice for awhile but in hindsight, paying a little more for the briggs & stratton parts may have been a better investment. I assume they are made in China too, but may have better quality and part tolerances. As someone mentioned previously, I had to grind off about 1/8" of the bottom part of the bracket on the mower to allow the bolt hole on the bracket to line up with the boss on the tank. The boss (RHS in the photo) sits too low so the tank hits the bracket before the tank can be raised high enough for the holes to align. The paint is good enough for the photo but was already coming off during installation. The gasket for the cap appeared to be made of cardboard. I used my old gas cap instead. I also removed the carburetor and diaphragm which I which I will use as a spare - and the diaphragm do have a chronic problem of going bad on these mowers.
