These are certainly better than the standard chair casters that came with my chair. The claim that they eliminate the need for a chair mat probably only works if you have extremely low pile carpet or something because even though I thought I had pretty low pile carpet in my home office, they still don't roll as well as I'd expected. They do add some height to the chair as well, which was a definite plus for me as I am very short. Yes, I have to use a footstool under my desk to get proper computer ergonomics, but I had to do that anyway. Now I don't have to lift the chair as much. All in all, they are not quite as wonderfully awesome as I had thought they would be, but are still an improvement over what I had so I would recommend them to someone else.

I love these wheels. I love these wheels. Yes, I know I said it twice but after rolling around on those decrepit rollers that came on the office chair although the rollers were never anywhere near this good even when they were newer. I feel like I'm on skates. That can be a little of a problem when coming from old rollers. Push to roll like you normally did on the rollers and now you end up crashing into a wall a block away. Also, due to ease of rolling these, I have had to learn to place my feet behind the front wheels to block them from rolling back away from my desk. Not horrible thing, but something I definitely was not used to with the old rollers (maybe I should be calling them grinders..they didn't really roll..) I got these due to the heavy duty part. They are very well made and heavy duty.

I've never met a plastic or carpet mat for my office chair that I've liked. Having a tile floor in my office meant having to live with floor solutions that either curled or got dirty as soon as you laid it down.
It dawned on me that maybe the problem is the casters they put on office chairs. Usually made of cheap plastic that didn't glide well on hard floor, or worse, dented and or damaged the floor. I set out to look on amazon for a solution, and it was great to know this problem had been solved. I absolutely love that these casters glide over my uneven (by design) beautiful tile floor with great ease and smoothness.

the wheels actuall got here before the chair. the box they came in was well packaged to keep them from damage. they went into the office chair i purchased easily with no problems. i have been using them now for about a week (8/14/17) they roll silently on the wood floor as well as on the plastic floor protector i have (already had it:> no need to throw it away right?) . i dont know what they are made of other then metal and what seems to be hard / clear rubber material.
on a side note. i had an email from office oasis to provide assistance for the wheels if i needed it (i didnt, but its nice to see that they were on the ball and ahead of the game) then a reminder email, and finally yes, they did ask me to do a product review. cant blame them for that. everyone wants to know how the product they sale is doing. i do recommende them and the wheels in particular if you are trying to roll around on hard wood and dont want to damage the floors.

OK, I only JUST got these. So far, my husband took the old casters off and put these on...I'd guess about 5+ minutes all up..this is good. I LOVE that they are virtually silent, this is very good! I could roll from my desk to my bedroom really fast...not that I will, LOL. My ONLY problem within the first 30 minutes is..they roll so good that I keep sliding away from my keyboard...that will maybe get better once I get used to the new wheels!!
They look very well made and were super easy to install. So..if six months or a year from now they are still as nice as they seem today I will be a very happy camper.
We had a very nice mat, but I was somewhat worried about dust getting under the mat and when I had to recenter it (and I had to do this often) the dust under would end up scratching the surface of our floor.
We just invested a lot of money on installing new Stranded Bamboo flooring throughout our home and I didn't want to do anything to mar it's beautiful finish.
Hopefully, mine won't spit all it's bearings out on the floor..and if they do, I am hoping that my dogs don't decide to eat them!! THAT would not be a good thing!
