Great Advent Calendar for the Star Wars/Lego Lover!!
rec628January 24, 2018
This Christmas was the first time I broke down and got a "toy" advent calendar for my 6-year old. He absolutely LOVED this Star Wars calendar. The builds were pretty easy for the most part. I did have to go online and download the "Cheat Sheet" PDF and then show him the picture of that days build on the tablet. They do have a picture inside each square of the box, but it was hard to see that without a struggle, especially since he was not supposed to remove the calendar from its location!! My son is a huge Star Wars fan and also Lego fan, so this was the perfect gift for him. It occupied him each morning in December and by Christmas Eve he was super excited to see his entire set of new Star Wars Lego pieces. I was able to snag the 2016 Calendar for a little less since it was a year old... I see no reason to NOT do that!!!
Great present to start the Xmas season.

These were a huge hit for my 8 and 5 year old daughters this 2016 Christmas. Their excitement over getting to open up a new Lego piece and assemble and play it helped extend the Christmas spirit and joy all month long. I feel that they are a bit expensive, but really the experience for the kids and how much playtime and use they got out of it was totally worth it. I am pretty sure we will be purchasing next years version as well considering it was such a big hit this year.
Fewer builds, more minifigs?
Colin HildingerDecember 29, 2016
These Lego Star Wars Advent Calendars have become a tradition in our house, with this being the 6th year we've had one. This year it felt like there were fewer builds and more minifigs in the calendar, and my son was a little disappointed. I haven't gone back and checked all the prior calendars, so maybe this is all our imagination, but I don't think so. I suppose some people like that, but he was disappointed to get minifigs in the mornings instead of builds.
Loads of Star Wars fun, my husband enjoyed everyday

My husband did not open advent calendars growing up, but he has been a Lego and Star Wars fan for many years. We decided to extend our tradition of regular advent calendars (which I started with my kids when they were young) partly because our daughter's family has started advent calendars as part of their Christmas tradition. I chose to get my husband the 2016 Lego Star Wars advent calendar and I can say it was a very big hit. He looked forward to opening up the next day as much as I enjoyed my Lego City Advent calendar.

In addition to a number of different or harder to find Star Wars themed mini figures, and the special White Christmas Wookie, there are a number of very inventive ships, weapons and locations to assemble in the calendar. All twenty four days of the advent calendar were so fun, that I decided to purchase him last years advent calendars for my husband to work. He is already looking forward to doing the 2015 Star Wars advent in January and I am confident that we will be buying the 2017 Lego Star Wars advent calendar for him next Christmas season.
Wonderful way to count down to Christmas!
KryptikDecember 19, 2016
This is the first year, that we have used an advent calendar to count down the days until Christmas. My 8 year old son loves the Lego mini figures and is a huge Star Wars fan. We gave it to him the night before December 1st. Every morning since then he has been opening up one surprise after another. He loves all the surprises. I really like that fact that the box is used as a background to play with all the figures he gets. So far I have loved the storm trooper snowman with the carrot nose. I think both my son and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the snowy Chewbacca. Hopefully only 2 more days. I think this type of advent calendar will become an annual tradition for our son (and yes, even for us parents too). Love it.
