Worked great for a few weeks, then the left channel went out, then just past 30 days the right channel went out. I went to their website since Amazon can't help after 30 days, and "This (their home page @ mcmelectronics dot com) page isn't working; mcmelectronics (.com) is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500". TLDR: The one year warranty on this product is bogus, and there is no coverage after 30 days because there is no way to contact this company, if it even still exists. It was nice while it lasted, but it didn't last at all.
Great for using Studio Monitors with Line Level Sources That Have No Volume Control.

Regulates volume on sources that do not have volume adjustment (line level).
It doesn't turn volume up, only attinuates, so you'll have to set your pre/power amps to the maximum level you want to listen to them at, and use this to turn everything down. This means if you have poor amps/cables you can get noise introduced. The solution here is to turn down your amps a little, or buy nicer amps.
I use this to control the volume between my TV's analogue line output that has no volume control, and my KRK studio monitors. It took a few adapters (1/8in TRS to RCA, RCA to RCA), but it works great, and I have no appreciable noise in my speakers.

Works great

Works great. I used this between the fixed level audio out from my television and a pair of Behringer powered speakers to give me volume control. My Harmony 350 remote had a code for this already and I was able to add it to my remote quickly. Perfect! My only complaint . . . . that bright blue light. The television is in my bedroom. That light just messes with me when I am trying to fall asleep. I had to cover it with a piece of tape.
Excellent!!

If not for Amazon I'd have never found such an item. Needed it to control powered speakers I connected to my Samsung crap TV that has no volume controllable speaker out. It works great!!
Line volume only goes DOWN...! No benefit...!

All this thing does is REDUCE the input volume, so there is no benefit unless the line volume is too high. Maximum line volume is LESS than BEFORE the volume control is incorporated. This is with VOL+ maxed out on the remote control.
