Flexible Design.

This allows a homeowner to adjust the door strike plate as the house moves in response to slight movements of the foundation.
Don't use the template to drill
Robert✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 24, 2023
It is functional but not pretty. Too much of a gap top and bottom. Difficult install because the template is wrong. The drill holes are too close together which causes the adjustment plates to not be flush. Had to remove and eyeball the drill holes.
Use Better Screws

This product works where doors don't line up with the strike plate for some reason. You can adjust it to the left or right of the center screws so the doors will close and latch. Much better solution than tinkering with door hinges or operating on the latch hole as some suggest. The reason it gets only 4 stars is that it comes with cheap screws that are prone to strip before going completely into the hole. This is especially true if like me you use an auto screwdriver. Buy and use some decent alternative screws before tackling the job.
Excellent solution to door bolt misalignment.

This adjustable strike place solves misalignment problems in both directions, up and down and inside to outside.

We had a door that never latched smoothly, and after removing and reinstalling it to install a modern bottom seal and new threshold, I could not get the latch and bolt to operate with any amount of adjustment to the hinges. The problem was that with the door properly plumbed in the opening, the latch and bolt were just too low by so far, and probably had only barely worked the day the door was hung.

This adjustable door strike solved that problem without the need to fill and relocate the old screw holes Because it's taller than the standard strike plate, I only had to use a chisel to enlarge the bottom of the mortise, then install the new plate in the existing upper screw hole and a new lower screw hole--far easier than having to fill the old screw holes with dowel like in the old days.

But that's not all. This strike plate has slotted screw holes that let it adjust in the inside-outside direction, and two small "clamping plates" with normal round holes you install on top, in line with the original holes. I just had to chisel a bit from the inside of the mortise and adjust the strike plate to permit perfect, secure operation of the bold, even against the additional pressure of new weatherstripping.

Screw Material is WEAK

I like the product overall, but I stripped the head of the first screw within seconds. ABSOLUTELY terrible. If you have some decent screws, then these work fine, but otherwise, you're going to have trouble.
