Saves a ton of money

Worked like a charm to fix my friends 2005 Highlander.
This Dorman kit works great!! Saved over $900 by getting it.

Our "friendly and helpful" mechanic gave us an estimate of over $1000 to fix the problem with our heater in our 2004 Highlander. Found a great YouTube video on how to replace the broken cable, ordered this Dorman kit, and it took less than an hour to complete the fix. All works now, except I need to figure out what to do with the $910+ I saved by buying this kit. Shouldn't be too much of a problem. Thanks Dorman, and thanks Amazon for leading me to this fix!
Great solution to a common problem

Great solution to a common problem. As others have stated, only 4 stars due to the replacement bulbs being too dim. Makes it near impossible to see the clock.

I own a Toyota Highlander 2005. I soldered the wires of the temperature control a few years ago after I watched a guy do it on YouTube. It fixed it then. In early spring , my AC started running HOT ....very HOT. After I re-soldered a wire , AC was still HOT. Was not sure what was wrong. My AC Refrigerant checked ok . I decided then to take a chance and buy the kit. It took me 30 minutes or so to install it. It's has been 2 weeks now. I can say with confidence now that my problem has been resolved. My AC is running Cold. Colder than we can remember.
Awesome. Thanks Dorman
