IT WORKS WITHOUT AN INTERFACE!!!
I. Santos•April 6, 2018
My car is a 2011 Altima with a base radio and steering wheel controls. I wanted to replace the stock stereo with a cheap ($99) Dual XDVD236bt. I did a "lot" of research and everywhere I kept reading that a "Metra Axxess ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface" was needed to keep my steering wheel control capability. I really didn't want to spend more money than the stereo is worth, in installation hardware, so I gave this a chance. And the OEM SWC in my car WORKS JUST FINE WITH OUT the ASWC-1 interface. Before Ibought this harness, I had gotten the
Scosche NN04B Wire Harness to Connect An Aftermarket Stereo Receiver for Select 2007-Up Nissan Sentra, because it cost less, but it is missing 3 wires needed to use the SWC in my car. So if your car is like mine spend the extra $14 and get this one and you wont be disappointed!

Much better than the Matra ou other generic ones

Much better than the Matra ou other generic ones... it comes with the essential steering wheel wires necessary to use the wheel buttons. If you're using a Android Stereo - they usually doesn't need an adapter - just hook up the wires and program the commands within the unit.
Adds the Steering Wheel Interface many new installations need. Beats Sosche.

Well built harness with steering wheel control wires. Saves splicing into factory harness to connect steering wheel signal interface (separate item).
Sosche makes a cheap interface harness for Nissan and Subaru but it does not the the 3 wires for the steering wheel control. This is more expensive but is worth it for time and having a conversion harness that can be completely assembled in shop and plugged into car.

Steering wheel control wires setup for Subaru

Good harness except for the steering wheel control wires. Although this harness worked with the wiring in my 2013 370Z, the steering wheel control wires are configured for a Subaru. Had to tap into the car's harness to restore function with my new radio. Otherwise, it's very well made.

super nice pre made harness that includes swc and vss that metra does not. no directions but look up the metra pdf online and the wires ahh added are clearly marked. fyi does not work if you have a canbus system like later nissans and the canbus swc controls are on a different connector
