Simple, sturdy, and it works

This product is very satisfactory after trying three other shoe racks. The design in ingeniously simple You just slip metal tubes into plastic sockets for assembly being sure to give a firm push or a tap with a light hammer. Four or five pairs of size 9 men's shoes easily fit on each shelf. High-top sneakers slip in without trouble. The shoes do not slide off when the rack is bumped as they do with racks with sloping shelves.

To say I'm not good at putting things together is an understatement. With this item I had no problem. All of the pieces come in separate bags that are marked items A, B, C etc. The instructions then shows a picture of each piece and what letter they are as well as how many you need. I had read from others that it was unstable and would fall apart when moved. Not so for me. No problems here.

Lightweight, not sure how well it will hold up over time since it does not have center vertical support but so far, so good. Zero sag from weight of shoes. Would recommend.

I will order another one of these. Plenty of room for 24 pair of size 7 med women's shoes. It was relatively easy to assemble using a rubber mallet. It took about an hour from opening the well packed box to placing my shoes on it. Give yourself plenty of space to assemble and do count the peices before you start. To avoid losing any parts, leave them in the bags until you need that piece. Since I don't have 24 pairs of shoes I have plenty of room for storage boxes. I have a 5in h x 13in w box with 2 pair of flat shoes on the top of the box. This fits nicely between the shelves. I turned the unit upside down to leave space on the floor for sandals if needed. You can cover the shelves with cardboard or something sturdier to store your high heels. Sturdy but it is not a bench to sit on. We are a 2 adult household one male and one female and share this rack in the closet. Now if it came with an arm to pick up the shoes from in front of the recliner it would be more than perfect. I recommend this shoe storage unit. I am a 72 yr old woman and moderately handy and did not need help with assembling, lifting or opening the box.

I am very happy with the product. I was unaware that it would come disassembled, but I was able to assemble it without tools in a reasonably short time. It is great for women's shoes that have wedge soles. I am using it to replace a rack that had sloped shelves and women's wedge soles slid off and landed on the floor.. The flat shelves on this rack eliminate that problem.
