works great, full immersion
Madeline•October 22, 2017
We bought this as a gift for my brother. Everything came on time and in perfect shape. I've only used it once and for a brief span of time, just on some demo games, but WOW! Definitely a full immersion experience. When worn correctly, the set blocks out all light (my brother says its best to use it at night with the lights off though), and I honestly felt like I was in the game.
Also, for anyone who's interested, I wear glasses and was still able to use the headset fine (just put it over my glasses).

This is AMAZING

I love the PSVR. I had the Samsung gear vr, and that hurt your forehead and eyes after 10 minutes of using it. The PSVR is comfy and does not hurt. The graphics were not as good as I hoped. But still better than gear vr. I guess VR is still fairly new so it will get better just like PlayStation and Xbox did. You need to make a motion controller with joysticks. All the games I have use a normal ps controller because you wouldn't be able to move around with a motion controller since it has no joystick. It has a lot of annoying wires, but I guess it has to, so whatever. When your wearing it you can see light coming in from around the edges. It need bigger rubber pieces to block that out. It constantly says I'm out of view if I turn my head to much. That might just be because I'm to far away or because my camera it a little old. But its still amazing and im very happy with it. Im looking forward to new games and hopefully better PSVR models
Pros vs Cons

Pros:
Great VR
View screen is large
Nice sounds from the ear buds
Optional to use your own headphones
Cons:
Body temperature increases when wearing the helmet (only me?)
Helmet is a bit on the heavy side
Should have had a built in speaker or wireless earbuds
Can get off centered often
The wire can be annoying
Overpriced.
Overall, I do like the VR. I just wish there were more games.

A great VR product!

PSVR is fantastic. Rez Infinite and Bound are worth buying the system for alone. I also own Oculus Rift w/ Touch, and that is really great too, but even compared with that, PSVR is solid. If you want to see advancements in VR, support these efforts! For a first gen product (which was a little bit of a surprise, when it was first shown off) it really is quite well executed. Can't wait to see what content comes out for it in 2017! Lots more please!
Nice for occasional VR gamer.

Easy to use and mostly comfortable. I found it somewhat difficult to put it on without smearing the lens. Tracking is mostly okay. Response is quick. It is well balanced and you tend to forget you are wearing ot when you are in the game. The most serious issue is resolution and pixel spacing. Pixelization is very noticeable. With picture streched over 100 degrees, it feels like you are playing a game on a low-res VGA screen. Especially if you compare it to 4k picture on TV from PS4 Pro. But overall it is fun. If you already own a PS4, and you are not too serious about VR, it is a good buy. However if you intend to spend consoderable time in VR, you better invest into a higher end product like Oculus Rift or HTC Vive.
