Beautiful, light, easy, simple.

I love the look and the simplicity of this rack. I looked at many shiny complicated and space agey looking racks that just wouldn't fit into our knotty pine home in the woods. It fits our lifestyle, got here quickly and didn't involve a confusing set of instructions. Bonus! At first I missed having a silverware holder, but if I'm doing alot of dishes I use my big coffee mug and I'm good. Retirement means surround yourself with things that make you smile. This rack is just that.
Started growing mold in 2 months of use

I was initially impressed with this drying rack. Its a great size and can hold a lot of dishes. I kept it out on the counter top on a drying mat because I do not have a dishwasher. Its way more attractive than other metal drying racks. However, I noticed it started to grow mold on the bottom shelf of the rack!!! I have only used it for 2 month. Had to throw it out because it grossed me out thinking about eating off dishes that sit on top of it. I was so sad because I though this drying rack was real deal until it started to grow mold! See photo! Would not recommend

I was so excited to receive this because we recently moved into a new place and we needed one. I waited patiently for it to arrive, but when it did, I saw that it had a crack in the wood. It wasn't damaged in shipment, it looks like it was damaged in the factory, and they tried to put some wood glue over it but did a terrible job. Also, there is a chip in another area. I'm so disappointed for the price. A dish rack over $20 shouldn't have manufacturer-ignored chips in it! There is also some sort of powdery residue on it. After touching the rack, I can feel some gritty powder on my fingers. Yuck.
Next to my old one, this one looks awesome!

My previous bamboo rack was purchased at Goodwill for $2 a few years ago. I kept repairing it by gluing & hammering when necessary. I finally decided it was time to buy a new one. Next to my old one, this one looks awesome! I did notice that one of the sides is a little more separated than the other. It seems to be functional and does not affect the opening & closing. I hope in time it will not be a problem. It definitely seems more heavy duty than my Goodwill rack. It is shorter in height than my old one. Other than that, the rack will serve it's purpose on my kitchen island with the ability to fold up and store when not in use. I would give this product 4 1/2 stars....and 5 stars if the side did not seem warped.

This is a terrific dish rack. I was a bit nervous that it wouldn't be very sturdy or that the wood would warp easily, but it's honestly very high quality. I couldn't love it more! We use it multiple times a day, and I love that it can be folded up easily to stand behind the sink or under the sink. I liked it initially because I didn't want a big metal dish unit constantly hanging out on my VERY limited counter space (400 sq ft apartment!), so I liked that it was bamboo and would look chic even when it's out. And it sure does! And it can be folded up and put away in a snap. I'd buy it again and I definitely recommend it! I especially suggest getting the "Totally Bamboo dish rack utensil holder" to go with it, as it doesn't have a place for utensils. With the utensil holder, this thing is 100% perfect.
