Foil cutter useless, but corkscrew works great.

This is my favorite kitchen tool (what does that say about my kitchen skills?) -- simple, sturdy, works perfectly every time. The foil cutter is useless, or it would be five stars.
Much better than the average corkscrew; could use improvement to foil cutter and packaging

The corkscrew works as expected- which is to say, great. It's very easy to use.
That being said, the box that it came in was damaged (one side was all but torn off) and the foil cutter fell off the corkscrew the first time that I used it. I'm honestly a bit disappointed about the box, I was hoping that it might look nice enough to leave out as a sort of wine-mom decoration- instead we'll probably either ditch the box or keep it stored away.
I would say that this is probably a huge improvement over the average person's corkscrew, but there are definitely some improvements that could be made.

We had two Houdini corkscrews which both died - bad construction - not terrible, just VASTLY inferior to this ASTONISHING device. This is the GOLD STANDARD of corkscrews. Easy, easy, easy to use - beautifully designed and built to last. Will sing the praises of OXO as well - we had a salt grinder that died after several years of use - they sent us a new one, no questions asked - super customer service too - real people on the phone - quick, positive response. This product however is a one-in-a-million. More money, but worth it. If you're looking for a corkscrew, look no farther.
Great Corkscrew but Cheap Integrated Foil Cutter

The corkscrew works great. The quality is good and it removes corks effortlessly. My only complain is that the integrated foil cutter (the silver piece) doesn't stay in place well. It falls off easily. Also, the foil cutter isn't very sharp and doesn't cut very well.
You'll never want to use another corkscrew again!

I absolutely love this product. You push the handle down then pull it up and Presto! the cork is out. Push the handle down one more time and the cork is off the corkscrew. The built in foil cutter is great since you never have to go digging for one. I have opened about 20 bottles (don't judge) to date with this product and it has opened them all flawlessly. Sturdy of build, it has never "glitched" or had any mechanical issues. Coming in a nice flip box this product would make a great gift for any wine connoisseur.
