I had sawdust on the ground 15 min after arrival. I did what i needed in a short time. All i did was mount chain to saw and oil blade with chainsaw oil then i was out cutting.

I researched many options before purchasing this model and brand, and I couldn't be happier with the quality and effectiveness of this saw, as well as the fact it is substantially less money than others models in the same range. You never know what to expect purchasing an unfamiliar brand, and what a great surprise to receive such good value.
Obviously not a tool for professional arborists, but would recommend this to ANY homeowner!

The first one I got had a broken oiler. It wouldn't oil the chain at all. I called SunJoe support, and after trying a few things, they promptly offered me a replacement. I took it and I'm very happy with the way this one works. The replacement was handled quickly and efficiently. The saw itself is just as expected. Not heavy duty but will cut up to about 2-3 inches narrower than the bar length if you are patient and let it work at it's own pace. Don't try to force it and don't expect it to act like a gas powered saw. Be gentle and careful how you initially position it so that it doesn't bounce or kick off the branch. Also, don't get it in a situation where it might bind up. It can't power out from that. All in All I'm very happy the second time around. It does what I need it to do. Only reason for 4 stars vs 5 is that the first one didn't work and I needed it that day. I did use it but I had to get a little oil can and manually oil the chain after every cut.

Brand new unit; used it several times already. A negative comment is that it is top-heavy due to the motor being at the head and not the base. I have read other reviews and I will say that if you let the saw's own weight cut thru the branches, it does a fine job. If you have to pull down hard to cut, either the chain has been dulled or the branch is just too thick (I've cut 3" dia. branches with ease, so far). Cutting angle stayed in-place during cuts. I've had no problems yet with chain oil leaking from anywhere during storage (I store it horizontally). I did not expect it to have any longer extension than it does because I read the details in the description. I tightened the chain at initial installation with no subsequent issues. If you are cutting logs with this, you are using the wrong tool (get an actual chain saw, please!). I had no issues with the assembly/instructions; I will say that if you cannot assemble this with the included instructions and your own personal knowledge, perhaps you should not operate a chain saw.

be sure to turn the flat head tensioner nut counter clock wise to move stud back before putting on the blade so that stud goes in hole and make sure to put blade right side up or you chain will be going in wrong direction and wont cut,,,other than that Bingo! 5 stars on this....
