Great mounting system for iPad Pro. Perfect for photo reference when painting

I payed $15.00 including the expedited shipping and received this item in 4 days. It's plastic and the tripod mount could have used a ball attachment. After mounting the flat connector it took awhile to get it to adjust for landscape mode. Simply put it's not a rugged mount for my 12.9" iPad Pro but it will work. I am very familiar with large format sheet film cameras and the 12.9" screen mounted on my tripod reminded me that it is nice to view your subject with a large focusing screen. With the hundreds of camera and editing apps you'll be able to work with your image without transferring them to other devices.
If you're looking for a solid tripod mount look elsewhere but for the price and with light usage this should fit the bill for all levels of iPhoneographers

Just be careful, you will never be able to vertically as shown on the picture
Great for boating if you use you iPad for chartplotting.

Good price, seems durable and holds the weight of an iPad Pro. I use the iShot clamp with this tripod iPad Pro mounting plate on my boat for a Chartplotter app. The screen stays clamped with no slippage or loosening. Very happy with this purchase.

I suppose I should give a lower rating, because within the first week the nut that the tripod screws into came out, but I glued it back in and it stayed put after that. Then, after a bit over a month, the plastic clip that secures the iPad broke. As other reviewers have observed, it is cheap plastic. I've attached and detached the iPad from the bracket several times a day since I bought this, and I guess the plastic was not up to the job. But I immediately ordered a replacement, because though cheap plastic, it does hold the iPad securely and is a fairly minimalist design. I have attached a quick-release system to this bracket and my tripod so that I won't have to remove the bracket from the iPad. Hopefully that will make the new one last longer.
Another reviewer commented that some other item is necessary to attach this to a tripod. Not true. It attaches just fine to any standard tripod head.
