This percolator is superb!! Makes excellent tasting coffee and is overall as quick as the Keurig it replaced for delivering 12 cups of coffee without the hassle of feeding the cups one at the time. As advertised, this percolator has nothing but stainless steel and Teflon in contact with the coffee it makes as the plastic retainer ring in the top never contacts the coffee. The wife absolutely loves it. Could not have made a better purchase and could not be more pleased with the quality and performance of this coffee maker. Highly recommend it to any one wanting to perk coffee in a fully stainless steel percolator.l

The coffee pot looks nice, with the blue light and all, but, In my other pot ( the old one ) the 12 cup line allowed you to put in more water, and it had a better spout. The coffee always seems to come out too strong, but it is very hot that's about the only thing I like about it. As far as purchasing one if I could have tried it first I would not have bought it. You pretty much have to tilt the pot to get the coffee out. I miss the spout on my old pot. Not too Happy in Texas

This is my 3rd Perk coffee maker. I have to say that the Capesso is my favorite. This makes coffee at the hot temperature that it should. No more pouring coffee and then heating it up further in the microwave! Hotter water, means stronger coffee, or at least using less coffee granules than before. The lid twists to lock. This feature makes taking the lid off fairly easily, thus less stress on the percolator glass/plastic.(the part that usually breaks first). The cup amounts are marked on the inside and are a little hard to read, but I can eyeball it easily since I am used to a perk maker. I also like how sturdy the handle is. My only complaint is the short cord. This would be perfect if the cord was 6" longer, but that is true about so many things.

We've been using this pot for almost a month, trying varying combinations of coffee/water amounts. With and without filters. They all come out with a similar flavor and have a metallic burnt aftertaste. We compared it with a stove top percolater, using exact same measurements, coffee brand, and water, and even tried removing the inards as suggested in the reviews. The stove top version has a much better flavor. No burnt aftertaste. We really wanted to like it. Expensive disappointment...Too much trouble to return it. Our loss.

I have a 12 cup percolator (different brand) that I love, but wanted something smaller and less bulky for perking coffee for just myself or maybe a friend or two. I liked the design of this 8 cup model (reminds me of the Farberware pots, but actually gives you a glass view knob on top) and decided to give it a try. I LOVE it. It makes excellent coffee quickly and easily. Very easy to use and to clean. Would definitely recommend!!
I've read a lot of reviews about the coffee being too strong or too weak. This pot makes the perfect coffee for my taste. I use coarse grind coffee and use a percolator paper filter. The coffee is nice and hot without it burning the coffee and the pot keeps it warm for quite some time.. even without it being plugged in.
