The most essential item you didn't know you needed. Charge your phone, camera or gps while on the go. When you're done unplug the connector and use the battery connected side to plug in a battery tender.
3.1 Amp USB Charger flows ~ .5 Amps In Testing, Even Less In Practical Use. NO GOOD

Well it seems I'm another victim of the masked star rating system. Clever trick if you think about it, grouping a bunch of different products under the same listing so the ratings are averaged and the reviews can't be discerned between each individual product. I bought the "3.1 Amp Waterproof Motorcycle USB" charger, and after extensive testing, I've concluded that it's just a piece of crap. I don't know if it's bad components, bad soldering, or a bad circuit design, but it doesn't work. I hooked the unit up to my multimeter to see what the current draw was while my bike was running, and I was able to pull about 500 milliamps. Ok, obviously the phone is only going to pull as much current as it needs, so that measurement in and of itself isn't too damning. However, in practical use, it just doesn't work. Today while riding, after losing 20 percent of my charge in just a few minutes with Google Maps opened, I just locked the phone to see if it would even charge at all while doing basically nothing. Nope. Plugged in, with the phone locked, I'm still losing battery charge. Well, now I know, as with many things in life, you get what you pay for. I'd return it if I didn't think I'd eat half the cost in shipping it back to the seller.
I like that it has provisions for zip-tie and screw attachment

Very simple device that does exactly what it says. I like that it has provisions for zip-tie and screw attachment. One thing to be aware of is that once you plug in the USB cable, the plug is no longer waterproof. I have them mounted under the seats of both Ducatis, so I'm not worried. If you mount them with the USB side facing down, at least if water gets in, it will drain back out. I considered putting a small hole in the rubber cap and running the USB cable through that but didn't bother.
Charger doesn't work at all!

I recently installed this on my bike and was excited to finally have a charger for my phone and the like. That excitement was short lived! After a complete install I shortly realized THE PRODUCT DID NOT WORK! As you can imagine I wasn't a happy camper after taking my bike apart and then reassembling it just to find out my charger was garbage. I tried different usb charging cables and confirmed they all worked after giving them a try in this charger. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone especially if your going to pay someone to install it for you, which you really shouldn't have to do because install is pretty basic.
Great price and perfect solution for motorcycles that don't already have USB ports.

Really pleased with these! I have 3 Harleys and only the newer touring model came with a USB charger. I got really spoiled with having my iPhone fully charged when I ride that bike, and was frustrated when I would watch my battery percentage plummet while riding the other two. Admittedly, I'm neurotic about keeping fully charged, and I get panicky when I'm out and about with less that 50% charge. These fixed that at a great price. They installed very quickly into my trickle charge plugs on the bike and I easy/quickly routed the wiring generally out of site up to the phone cradles securing with zip ties (which they included some, but I think I used some smaller ones I had on hand). Frankly, I don't use but one of the inputs, but doesn't hurt to have a 2nd one. For such low price, these really met my needs and have prolonged my rides on my other bikes. Go ahead and buy them.
