Just bought my second box of this. The first box was used to re-soil my older plants. I threw out about half of the soil on the older plants and mixed this with regular soil to give my plants some new soil to live in. From the beginning, my older plants seem to have gotten new life. Now, they look fuller, greener, like happy plants should! I believe it has to do with me adding this to the mix. Unfortunately for me, I didn't realize that it brought a bag to moisten the discs in so my job was that much harder since the container I was using wasn't a good size for that. This is what happens when you don't read the instructions completely. My second box was to plant some seeds that I just got, but since I just planted those last night, I can't comment on that just yet. This time around, I did use the plastic bag that came in the packaging and that made a big difference. I'm hoping it will help them grow quickly or at least show some kind of growth because I'm planning on giving those out for Mother's Day. Thank you for such a great product.

Living in a condo, I have little space to store potting soil. So, when I had a new avocado plant, yes, I started it from the seed, I needed some soil for planting. The fiber soil (with added food) seemed to be the answer. It was kind of fun starting the pods, setting a timer and coming back to find soil-like materials. It took four pods to fill my pot, but the plant seems happy, and I appreciated the limited mess that I had to deal with.

I love using this fiber soil discs!! They are so easy to use and it's really neat to watch them expand when you add the water. I have used these for several of my plants and they are thriving! As a matter of fact I keep have to re pot them because they are doing so well. This soil feels fluffy and so clean for dirt;) The way it absorbs the water is great and it is almost impossible to over water your plants! All I do is add those little plant food sticks to these and so far they are doing just fine. I have been using these for well over a year now. I will continue to use this product and have recommended it to several friends and co-workers.

I used to be an avid Gardner but as years have passed, I am now riddled with arthritis.Mornings I can barely lift a cup to my mouth for pain. This product makes me SO HAPPY. I can garden at my workbench. Sounds crazy but...lugging heavy sacks of potting soil is now almost impossible for me. Asking for help to carry from the car to my backyard takes 3 or 4 days as busy as my wonderful neighbors are with daily life. (My Mustang was stinky but smelled so good cause I missed it? )
Now i am trying-my-hand at starting & germinating seeds and giving the beautiful young plants to family and friends. Thanks for your wonderful product and a renewed sense of joy. Arthritis Approved.

So far this soil appears to be excellent for seed sprouting. I reconstituted a small portion on a proper w/w basis for 2 peat pots to test the viability of seed recently received. The seeds were soaked in water (a 'shot' glass on top of the frig for warmth) for 24 hours, and then planted. The photo was taken only 4 days after planting; 3 seeds, 3 sprouts. Surprisingly fast germination. I will continue using this rather unusual soil. Seem excellent, and the 'compressed' material makes storing the soil in limited spaces.
