The material is definitely durable abd I believe to be high quality. Unfortunately, even with Cabela's Commercial Grade Model 20-101 with the double seal and double piston option on, I was unable to get a vacuum seal with my unit. Others have posted commercial sealers are required to use this product. I just wanted to let others know that the Cabela's Commercial Grade Model 20-101 with new seals will not work.

Love this product! Where I live these are hard to find, and I use them all the time for vacuum sealing my food to keep fresh, or for meat to store in the freezer. I highly recommend this because you get a lot in one roll!

This is a repurchase. I use these a lot and they do very well in my ziplock Vacuum seal machine. They are thick and well made.

I did seal these with my FoodSaver...but, it is not easy.
you must seal 2 or 3 times on the bottom seal with the smooth side toward the heating element to ensure that it is sealed. then fill and seal as normal but do not remove the bag from the sealer. if it does not stop pumping and seal, your bottom seal is probably not good. if it does stop pumping and seal it will probably lose the vacuum in the first try. Vac and seal again until it holds the vacuum. you may need to turn the bag around and re-seal from the other end.
repeat theses steps until vacuum holds.
obviously not an ideal solution, but if you only have a few to do, it is less expensive than a commercial grade machine.
the bags by the way are impressive, very heavy duty.
