I installed this as a replacement for a High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) lamp I'd installed over a decade ago for our garage. The Dusk-to-Dawn sensor seems spot on for ON @ twilight and OFF @ right at sunrise. It uses the same, standard three screw mount used for older 'HPS' lamp assemblies, so installation was a breeze and the brightness is at least twice more than the HPS lamp and using only 45W, instead of the 150W 'HPS' bulb. All the screws, bolts, wire nuts and hardware were included in the box and the light weight of the unit (about a 3rd of the 'HPS' unit) made this easy while on the very top of a step ladder.
The lamp color for the daylight unit is very 'white' and 'cool', not 'warm' as some would prefer but it was fine with me and there is apparently a 'warm' color version available.

We bought this as a replacement light for our 50-year-old light. Too bad we had to install in August!!!! Too hot, but had to be done. Easy installation. Small and covers well from the house to the barn. We have another pole and we'll buy again soon to replace the other old light.

I have five of these lights installed in my yard. I have been using them for several years. I was woken up by the police department at 4:30 this morning because a neighbor had called in a complaint because one of the lights was flashing. This is the second light out of the five that I have now had problems with, as another light went out a few weeks ago. I have been pleased with these lights overall, but their longevity is questionable. I will be looking for a different light to replace the two bad lights with.
