I definitely see the Rottweiler in her after getting the results !!!!! This was fun. Took less than two weeks to get the results........ Kinda like waiting for Santa. !!!!!!

I was very excited to get this DNA test kit and receive the results. Unfortunately, we were VERY disappointed with the results. Pacho's original owners told us he was a labradoodle but he actually looks like a poodle-schnauzer hybrid (schndoodle). We received the results very quickly but it was not accurate or helpful. The results were 25% poodle, 12.5% chinese crested, 12.5% chow chow, and 50% mixed breed. First off, 50% mixed breed? That's not helpful at all. Let's move on to the other results, he's definitely some poodle. However, he has absolutely no physical or personality traits in common with the chinese crested or chow chow breeds. We were extremely disappointed with these results. It was a great idea, but not reliable. I would spend more money on a more reliable DNA test kit. This is my second review on Amazon.
Easy, fast and enlightening. Thanks to the test, we now know we have a darling BeaTzu.

We got a shelter puppy a month ago or so. He's stolen all of our hearts, including our big, gorgeous Bernese Mountain Dog. We suspected he was part Beagle, but were very curious about what breeds he might be. We wanted to know how big he might get and also how his genetics might shape his adult behavior. We were convinced he was part terrier, likely Jack Russell. Imagine my surprise when I learned he is 1/4 Shih Tzu! He's also half Beagle and 1/4 unknown. It explains why he's a lap dog and so friendly and sweet. The test was so easy to do. It was processed in less than two weeks and the report was provided in a way that was very easy to understand with some information on the ancestry for him that is unclear. So, we don't have a Jack-a-bee, we have a BeaTzu!

There's nothing wrong with this test. I should have paid for a more comprehensive dna test kit. Our dog is a mut. This test only goes back 2 generations. I think if the test went back further, the results would be more conclusive.I'm sure if we had a purebred dog, this test would be sufficient. For what this test covers, it seems very accurate and helpful.

I was very impressed with the ease of collecting and shipping the sample as well as the detail and layout of the results. Wisdom Panel has a great website and provides a mix of useful health information and fun background info on your dog's breed. I used the mixed breed test (you specify what test type when you create an online account) for both of my mutts and the results were a lot of fun to read over. I also trust the accuracy as I already knew the breed of both dog's mothers and it correctly reported both of them.
