WHAT THE HELL IS A MIDGE AND DAMN THEM ALL

The only thing wrong with my purchase of this head net, was that I ordered it a day too late. To my knowledge, I had never seen a midge before. While tiling in my outside courtyard, I was attacked by swarms of, what I thought were gnats. Turns out they were biting midges. I couldn't stop my tiling project and despite wearing long pants, long-sleeve shirt, brimmed hat, kerchief, shoes and sock (it was 90 degrees out!), and even plugging in and turning on a big floor fan right next to me - the bugs savaged me. I had a swollen lip and eye, dozens of itchy nodules all over my neck and jawline, and felt pretty damn miserable the next day. That's when I ordered this head net.
Back to tiling a week later, and the damn bugs buzzed around but were held at bay by the head net. Better late than never.

Overall, product is good, seems well-made. SLIGHTLY too small, and too short, your product line could use a size "large," too, for wider-brimmed hats and bigger people, but the quality seem to be excellent, it weighs almost nothing, folds down into a quite nicely made miniature stuff sack. Price is not the lowest, but I've bought and returned lower priced headnets on Amazon before for being WAY too small AND low quality (Hooray Amazon return policy!). I'd rather pay more than the dirt cheap $4.99 ones and get quality, and a size I can actually use with something more than the most abbreviated ball cap. I say thumbs up on this one, overall this product gets at least a high "good" rank, and the size problem, well, the way your competition does it, including some pretty big names in the camping world, your "slightly too small but nicely made" beats the heck out of "even if you manage to not tear it, it's unworkably-tiny." Consumers: Yes, buy this. Cowboy hats or broader-brimmed floppy hats may be a problem, but in general, yes, buy this. Sellers: NICE effort, a well made net, but you need to either make it slightly larger or have a separate "size large." But the quality is excellent and the mini stuff sack is kewl.

Black flies in Maine & NY are not getting in my eyes, nose, or mouth! I wear it over a bugs away hat with a brim. If the wind picks up & the flies die down, I lift the net & roll ir over the brim, always ready to pull it back down when we change course!

I bought Vantoo Mosquito Head Net Face Neck Protection-Anti Mosquito Anti-Bite Anti-Insect Olive and, while it works just fine, it is on the small side. This product is considerably larger and I can comfortably wear it over my wide-brimmed hat. It has an actual draw string at the bottom (not just elastic) and a quality toggle (grabber thingy to hold drawstring closed). It comes in a cute little storage bag with its own drawstring and toggle.
