I want to start off by saying that I am not Korean. I have never been out of the United States. I do not eat out at foreign restaurants often. However, I do like experimenting with new flavors and spices. This is one of my new favorite add ins to chicken ramen noodles. I am likely to buy it again. It does not take much to add a significant amount of depth to cheap food. It is not flaming hot but it still has a nice heat to it. It also has sweetness. I assume it has peppers and ingredients that are not in a lot of super intense flaming hot sauce.

We love GOTCHU and this time we upgraded to the 'Extra Spicy' version! Not too spicy - just the right level! A clear favorite in our family!

The heat level is definitely on the hotter side, so if you're not used to spice, you might want to start with a smaller amount. But if you're a spice lover like me, you'll find the heat to be just right. It's not overwhelmingly spicy, but it definitely has a kick to it.

It's difficult to describe flavors, especially since I don't have the refined palate to distinguish the subtle differences of ingredients.

So, this is what the untrained palate of this commoner tastes...

My first impression when it hit my taste buds was the hint of flavor from their own Gochujang Sauce. It's subtle and not long-lasting---just when the sauce first circulates in my mouth.

After that initial reminder of Gochujang dissipates, it tastes to me like a blend of Cholula Hot Sauce and bibigo's Gochujang. It's not quite as vinegary as Cholula, however. The consistency is similar, too.

The spiciness is on par with Cholula. It's spicy and has some heat (upper-low or lower-medium), but it's not stupid hot and should be manageable by most people.

When I decided to give this a try, it was priced at less than $3, so I gave it a go. Now (two weeks later), it's 2 1/2 times more. At the current price of $7.34, I probably wouldn't have experimented. Just a temporary spike that's not uncommon on Amazon, I hope...

I'm undecided if it deserves a permanent spot on my 'must-have sauces' list. I like it, but it hasn't won me over, yet.

Maybe, it'll grow on me and earn a spot. We shall see...

I loved the fact this bbq sauce is unique and special. I love spicy food and this sauce will have your taste buds saying hell nawwww while you pouring more, especially on a double cheese burger and fries ðŸŸ
Make sure you have a cold can of cherry Pepsi on standby
For the taste, and price I have to say it's worth every penny, every drop, im definitely buying this bbq sauce again and Again.
