We keep this outside in our pool storage and it is always ready to go! Has great sound and is plenty loud to hear over all the commotion around the pool. This was a gift and very much appreciated!

radio reception if fine where I live and the sound is way bigger than the box would have you believe. Perfect for the drive in and the lake. we take it everywhere.

Excellent

This was purpose bought for our wedding, which was small, about 25 people total. We needed something to use as a speaker so our guests could hear the ceremony which was outdoors and this seemed like it would fit the bill. We also used it for music as my wife made her entry to our ceremony. It worked perfectly, better than we had hoped for.

For starters, as a speaker, when used with a microphone, this is an outstanding product. We also purchased a inexpensive microphone and it plugged right in, worked immediately, zero problems. The volume was easily adjustable and when turned up to 1/4 volume, could be heard by everyone in the garden. We had some elderly folks joining us so we wanted to be sure everyone could hear and enjoy themselves. It worked perfectly. The venue that hosted our wedding didn't have anything like this, and we opted not to hire a DJ, so with the money we saved, this was an outstanding solution for our needs.

For music, this thing is excellent. It doesn't weigh much so traveling with it is an absolute breeze. If you're like me, you tend to evaluate quality based on the weight of some things, but this speaker threw me for a curve in that department. The physical size of this isn't bad, it's almost a perfect cube, and will travel easily. The built in handle impression in the back is a nice touch. It fits easily in a canvas grocery bag and won't tear off your shoulder when you're carrying it. I realize that sound quality is subjective to everyone, so I can't tell you that you're going to be amazed by the sound quality, but I can tell you that both my wife and I are amazed by it. Great bass, nice highs, and the mids were right where they should be. Regardless of jazz, rock, classical, I personally think this thing sounds great. The water and dust resistance is a nice touch, which means you can keep it in the garage when you're working on your vehicles or outside by the pool without worrying about the kids splashing it. The ports are covered with substantial rubber covers that offer plenty of protection when not in use. The knobs seem sealed nicely internally as well. The display is easy to read, a nice bright blue color, and pairing the speaker with my phone was a breeze.

This is the kind of speaker I have been wanting for a while now, so I suppose I'm lucky we decided against a DJ for our small wedding and went with this instead. I can attest to the physical sound level, it can get loud if you crank it up. I didn't notice any distortion when testing it out, and I find that setting the volume at just 50% fills the place with some great sound. I have yet to put the battery through its paces however, but thus far, the Tailgater Express has exceeded my expectations. I'll be putting this to some great use when I'm working on the truck or generally outside. This is a great sounding speaker that works perfectly for our needs. I'd happily buy it again.

This item is great. It is better than I expected and exactly what my wife wanted. Sound is great and the battery life is impressive.
