I purchased this in February 2017. It is attractive and functional. However, even though I filled it with hot water before using, the coffee never stayed hot for more than an hour. After that it cooled down quite rapidly. Recently it started to pour very slowly until it wouldn't pour at all. Apparently something in the lid which allows air in to prevent air locking malfunctioned. I think it is because when it was filled with hot coffee the first time you opened the lid there was a vacuum which really caused something to pop inside the lid. Replaced it yesterday and threw it out.
Doesn't keep coffee hot!!

Total Dud! I bought to keep my coffee HOT. Nope. It starts to cool the minute you pour hot coffee in it. (Even tried heating with hot water before pouring coffee in). 3 hours and your drinking lukewarm coffee. I'm hoping this isn't the best they make. ðŸ˜

The pot keeps coffee warm as advertised. I have not tried it with cold fluids. I do find that it is difficult to prevent it from dripping after a pour. I tried the recommended technique of slowly bringing the pot back to vertical and releasing the valve at the same time. Works if one is very patient but seems to take more than 3-4 seconds.

one of the only Carafee that actually hold the coffee from my 14 cup coffee maker! looks great and keeps my coffee hot for at least 10 to 12 hours. It has a small footprint. base is 5" across. You do need a bottle brush to clean it as the top opening is not big enough to get your hand in to clean it. Other than being a little difficult to clean, it's a great Carafe. I plan on buying another to keep in our 5th wheel camper.
A dripless great buy ( unless inner shine is a must for you )

This handsome carafe is a great buy. If you follow the directions and fill it with hot water for five minutes ( while your coffee is brewing ) it will keep your brew hot six hours and warm for longer. It pours without a drip. The only negative you should be aware of is that the narrow opening at the top makes it difficult to clean. If you want glistening insides, this is not your item. For serious cleaning the directions say to leave it overnight with a tablespoon of baking soda in warm water once in a while.
