I had a basic hard foam roller that was smooth with no nubs on it, and it wasn't really doing the job. A friend of mine had this product, and I tried theirs and liked it. So, I ordered my own. The nubs are great and give a good massage effect to work out sore muscles. It is also sturdy and durable. The nubs are a little hard since this roller is pretty dense, and are sometimes uncomfortable (we call it the "mean roller"), but I can't complain about the mild discomfort because this roller really does the job compared to a smooth roller.

This is an excellent product. I damaged my rotator cuff and the is device helped immensely to mitigate the pain.
