I use this for medical purposes on very damaged skin. Never before found such a healing effect from a topical application. Specialists have commented and are sharing with other patients. Beyond wonderful Plus, I use it for cooking!

LOVE THIS STUFF!!!! We use if for everything. It's practically tasteless, and such a healthier way to cook or bake than most oils out there. It comes in handy even if you have a pure olive oil. Or something organic, Since most healthy oils we have access to can't be heated at all, or cooked above a certain temperature. Coconut oil is great too! But my husband and I eat a lot of eggs. And with eggs specifically, he claims the coconut oil is too strong. And does not mix with the taste of the egg. So this is a great healthy alternative! Or a recipe will call for lard or Crisco. Which of course is not something we'd even consider buying. So again, for recipes like that. It's a great alternative, we also use it to fry food as well.

I have multiple food allergies and am sensitive to cross contamination, so I bought this as a potential dairy/coconut replacement. Before I use something new, I always make sure to contact the company and ask them about other on-site allergens. When I contacted Grain Brain (the maker of this palm shortening), they were very open about any potential allergens and/or possible cross contamination. I was concerned about potential cross contamination from coconut oil (which they also sell), but as of 12/2016 they said "Our coconut oil is not processed in the same facility or same equipment's or on the same line than the palm shortening. However it is repackaged in the same facility but it is not in contact with each other. It is packaged with different tools, and not at the same time, But in the same facility." As it turns out, I'm also allergic to palm oil, but otherwise I would totally buy this again.

I have used this before for icing and cooking and I love this brand! I have tried others and feel this is best by far!
