This kit is beautifully engineered and manufactured. Gorgeous brushed-nickel stainless-steel finish and nice sturdy fittings. Other "buy USA" options will get you a kit that is just painted steel, not this beautiful stainless, and cost twice as much.

I do have a few reservations though. First, this is not an easy install - you better know what you are doing. Second, it is possible for the door to come off the rail, if it were subjected to a force (a strong kick) which could force the roller wheel to jump off the rail; the instructions seem to suggest that by installing the rollers low enough on the door that this can be avoided (by minimizing the clearance between the top of the door and the rail) - but I don't believe that's true - however I do not know if any of the competing products do a better job of addressing this issue. Third, it would've been nice if a single 8ft rail had been supplied instead of two 4ft ones and a fitting to connect them; I had some trouble getting mine to join together cleanly, but I suppose if would be impractical for shipping if the package were 8ft long.

So I have a 1960's house with 8ft ceilings. I needed a low profile barn door but the 2 inch or less hardware is 400 plus dollars. I had 4 inches if that. For the price I thought I'd try this first. I did two 24 inch doors with the extra kit. Like everyone else says, hardware is top notch and heavy duty. With all the reviews I was expecting to do some NASA level calculations. Was pleasantly surprised how easy they went up. One thing I liked especially is the supports for the railing can be spaced anywhere so you can match the stud locations, no 1x4 board to mount so looks extra slick.

Sturdy, great color, works great for my barn door tracking

My handyman and I installed the kit together. We didn't realize how huge the size of the support bracket hanger attachments were. I can't remember if we used a 1/2 or 3/4 in drill bit to make the holes. The directions didn't specify. Although 3 spacers were included, adding additional ones would have been helpful to properly fit a standard sized barn door without gapping. The rod brackets fit nicely and the door slides from side to side effortlessly. Installation took longer than expected and required 2 people. The quality of the kit itself is supreme. It is durable, solid, and very modern. The price was also reasonable, especially when compared to the local home store. The quality of this item is definitely better than the local home store by far!

This product worked great for me and their customer support is fantastic. I emailed them with a ton of questions before hanging the doors and they were great about answering promptly and with all the information I needed. I love that the mounts for the rail can be moved to align with my wall studs. So many other products require you to mount a header board (not provided) to the wall to accommodate their fixed spacing. The wheels glide very smoothly. The only suggestion to the manufacturer is they need to provide a center bumper. They give you 4 bumpers (2 for each door) but with the double doors I used the wheels were too close together to fit 2 bumpers between them. So, make sure when you are attaching the wheels to the door they are set back enough to support two numbers between the two doors. In my case I simply used one bumper and modified it with rubber stops on both sides of the post. The other suggestion would be to use a sturdier center connection for the track. The little press fit connector is more then enough once you get the track mounted, but it flexes too much to use the track to get a level mount from one side to the other. For that you will need something else to help level the mounts.
