Waste of money for the purpose
Garret•February 17, 2018
Bought for use of a hat rack. the pictures make it seem to appear that it mounts farther away from the wall. It mounts so close to the wall, you can not spin it with one item on there. Not only that, but the angle of the "hooks/pegs" is a little extreme, and does not exactly reflect the picture. Waste of money for the purpose, could have bought something cheaper to serve the same stationary purpose.
Don't do it, you will regret it on many levels.

We just moved into a new house and I was looking for something really innovative that worked in a piratical way yet was a bit fun as well. This seems like it would fit the bill but it doesn't really do it.
First of all the pictures show a nice black to lightly chromed end brackets but in fact it has end brackets that are so bright they end up looking cheap and industrial - which is not my style. The space between the small pegs is only about 2 3/4 inch apart which means you pretty much cant hang anything on here as it will overlap with a lower peg and block it. If you start at the top then you cannot see the lower pegs. Also, mine does not rotate once I got it on the wall - why it would claim to rotate - which is so awesome and honestly made me really want it is beyond me.
I am going to try to prime and paint it another color so it looks kind of mod and funky and yet I still have no idea where I would put it because it is pretty impractical to hold anything larger then a necklace.

This is useless, utterly useless.
As I was assembling it, I wondered how you could rotate it when hanging stuff on the lower hooks - especially scarfs.
But I proceeded, and hit a problem. You mount this round part to the wall, and then push the pipe over it. Only, it didnt fit in. Either mount would fit the bottom bracket, neither into the top. Contacting the company proved near impossible. After heavy googling, I got a UK phone number. The situation didnt warrant an international call.
Its a nice looking piece, but having read the other reviews, it is clear that this is a good idea lacking in function.

its made light weight but the mounting for the top & bottom seems to get loose very often
Ugly - be smarter than I was
Greeny✓ Verified Purchase•December 4, 2016
Here's why I think it's ugly but semi-practical for my use and worthy of 2-stars:
1.) I installed this near my front door. That wasn't very smart on my part but I truly had nowhere else to put it. What makes it ugly is the 2 colors of metal - chrome and black colors. My closets are not deep enough to have been able to install this out of sight.
2.) My little kids have little friends who sometimes come over. I wanted something real simple for them to hang jackets and for all the kids to put gloves and winter hats. Little kid jackets aren't big. The pegs are too small for adult winter coats and at any rate it wouldn't have held much in the way of adult jackets.
3.) Rotate? No, not a chance. Once installed, that's it. I just can't believe the product description would claim this could be rotated in the installed position.
4.) No instructions came with my unit, none whatsoever. Just a product photo on the outside of the box. The instructions instead are on the product page here on Amazon.
5.) Ease of installation - easy. I didn't bother finding a stud because the place I wanted to place it didn't have a stud. So I can forget about putting any real weight on this.
6.) Here's what a smarter person than myself would do: Get a better one that has longer pegs, is slightly longer in the vertical dimension as well, and for goodness sakes is not so unattractive. I think we'll get our use of it, that's really why I think it's 2 stars instead of 1 star, but even on that point I could be wrong.
