My leather seat in my van was cracking. It was close to totally busting open. I get in and out a lot with my job. I was almost to the point of using duct tape but was afraid I would be sitting in a sticky spot from it rubbing and melting in the Tennessee heat. Thankfully, I found this! I was worried it wouldn't work but figured the price was worth a shot based on some of the photos. It did not disappoint! I cut it perfectly for the spot. It took the entire sheet cut in half! It lays smooth and you can't even tell because I matched the threading seams in the seat!!! I am sooooo pleased with this product! I'll be checking my friends seats so I can tell them about it! LOL

My SUV had a tear at the seam in the middle of the driver's seat. I cut the patch but left larger than needed to insure enough surface for the patch to bond. The patch was installed about a week ago and so far, I don't see any edges peeling up. The patch adhesive is very sticky so use caution when applying. I peeled back half the patch first to line it up and get half of the patch set to the seat before peeling the other half off. I used rubbing alcohol to remove all adhesive from the electrical tape (pervious patch attempt) and made sure the area was very clean for proper adhesion. I will report back if this patch fails or any problems happen over the next few months. The color was very close to the original seat and the only major difference is the dots on the original leather seat which don't match. This now looks much better than using electrical tape and will hopefully keep the seat from getting any worse.

This product is my "car-saver." I feared the imminent degradation and rips in my leather car seat could ruin the value of an otherwise great 1999 Toyota. But this Masta Plasta saved the seat and, in a way, my willingness to hold onto my car. It feels and looks like leather, it sticks immediately, and cuts cleanly. Although not part of the instructions, I suggest that you take a piece of paper and draw a template to cut the MastaPlasta into the exact shape needed, That's what I did, so the piece of MastaPlasta fits perfectly. What a relief!!

I got the dark brown, and it matches my leather sofa colour-wise nearly perfectly (it is slightly more matte) -- as near as makes no difference. The large patch was ideal -- it covered my rather long split with a bit of room to spare, discouraging any further splits. It looks neat and clean, and the thin material takes on the creases of the sofa beneath so that it doesn't seem oddly stuck on -- and I never notice it when sitting directly on it. It stays in place, it doesn't fray or peel, and it's vastly cheaper than a new sofa! Highly recommended.
I'd recommend but be sure how you're going to use it.

I bought the 8 x 11 patch a couple months ago to use on a problem spot on my couch (it's sort of a "spare") until I replace my furniture later this year.
Its holding power is great. I wish the quality of the couch was as good, because this patch is pulling the surface of the "bonded leather" off of the couch entirely.
So I'll probably get a bigger patch if available. It's not their fault; it's Ashley Furniture's.
Anyway, these do a pretty good job but consider your application and the substrate onto which you'll be applying this.
