Was using to repair a rip in my leather seats ...
Beverly Womack✓ Verified Purchase•March 7, 2018
Was using to repair a rip in my leather seats in my truck. I properly cleaned the area - plenty of dry time. Patch did not stay down, edges started peeling up & left an even bigger mess on my seat.
Patch failed after 2 months

I bought this large patch for a crack in my leather car seat. I purchased about 5 other smaller patches from this company before that have lasted two years now, but this patch only lasted just over 2 months before the leather portion began to separate from the adhesive backing. There were no tears or rips, just a failure of the adhesive that holds the leather portion on to the adhesive portion of the patch.
I contacted the Amazon seller about this and they referred me to the manufacturer since it was outside of the return window for Amason. I sent the manufacturer pictures of the product failure and all they could offer is that 'the product was not designed to last forever'. That was it. Very poor customer service and lack of a desire to stand behind their product.
Attached is the photo sent to the manufacturer showing how the leather portion separated from the adhesive attached to my car seat.
Even though the smaller patches are very durable, I would NOT advise buying the larger 8X11 patch, unless you are willing to spend $20 to replace the patch every couple of months.

Works fine, a few issues

While I feel this option is a nice convenient option for people that don't want to mess with the liquid repair kits, I do have a few issues with the product that others should be aware of:
1) We ordered one 'Dark Brown' patch in March and it matched our espresso furniture exactly. I ordered another in July and it was a lighter colored 'Dark Brown' - more like a chocolate. I didn't really think about checking if there was going to be a difference before slapping it on, so now we have a multi-colored patched up couch. I'm now looking for something that is bigger to cover the top portion of the couch that needed multiple patches.
We had a peeling leather issue the grew after we applied the first patch. Looking back, I would say this patch was too small to contain the entire repair and I should have looked for another leather repair option.
2) If you have the edges of the patch somewhere that a head/hair will rest on, the edge of the patch is still a little sticky for awhile after it is applied. As in, you sit your head against it and you can feel your hair stick to it. It goes away eventually.
I guess they have a different product that is smaller for sofa repair that looks like the edges slope down and become thin. This may have been our perfect option if they made one to fit the size of the repair we needed.around the edge to blend it in. Will probably just live with it until it gets patchier and we upgrade to new furniture.
I'm not a fan of the photos for their other products with a design that looks like it blends in to the surrounding on the listing for their XL repair patch that does not blend in.
With that said, the patch has stayed in place and adhered beautifully. I just wish there was a little more consistency with the color of the dark brown. For example making two skus instead of one if the colors are going to differ so much.

30 days, not our problem, your problem

I used it for a leather car seat crack. worked fine at first, after 1.5 months the vinyl started separating from the cloth adhesive. I wrote the company (through Amazon) for some help and there response was that it had been 30 days, not our problem, your problem.
Great Product

The upholster guy said it would cost me $600 to fix the leather seats in my F250 Lariat. I put on these patches in the meantime to keep it from spreading and they look great. Extremely easy to install and much cheaper than $600!
