Ford F-150 Fog Lamp Replacement
S. Flask✓ Verified PurchaseFebruary 12, 2018
I used these bulbs to replace the factory halogen fog bulbs on my "˜16 F-150. The difference is huge. I considered the factory low beams + fog lights to be completely inadequate. Simply replacing the fogs solved the problem. I didn't even touch my low beams.

Installation took me about 15 minutes. I recommend connecting the new bulb and checking to make sure it works before re-installing and closing up the wheel well. I know these have fans on them but I can't even hear them above the engine at idle, and it makes no difference in the cab.

Tip: On an F-150 you DON'T have to remove the light assemblies to change the bulbs, like some people recommend online. There are a few bolts and a plastic clip holding the liner in place in each front wheel well. Simply remove these and you've got easy access to the bulbs.

Attached images: Low beams vs. same low beams and these LED's.

Totally recommended.
(+) Very Bright, Super Easy Installation, Super Customer Support (-) Issue with Hi Beams

Update 09/19/2017; Vendor is very responsive and working with me on the Hi / Low beam issue. Will update on how it turns out. Again.. so it appears, that if one does have an issue with the product, this vendor is quite helpful and responsive.

Update 09/29/2017; Vendor has been super responsive in working with me on the hi / low beam problem. Ball is in my court to try some remedies recommended by vendor (I have been traveling on business so no time to try). In the interim, the vendor actually send me, unsolicited by me, a replacement set of bulbs in case the suggested fixes do not work. Talk about super vendor support. Again.. ball back in my court

I also added some pictures of before / after with the halogens vs the LED bulbs. As noted, what a huge difference in light output. The pics show ease of installation, and light output. On two of the pics I blocked off either the halogen or the LED so one could see the difference with just one of each light projecting the output.

Update 10/27/2017; I finally had the opportunity to install and test the replacement bulbs sent to me by LASFIT. Issue resolved. I have to say, they (LASFIT) are a model of great customer support. I highly recommend the vendor.

If my review was helpful to you.. give it a vote.

Cheers - Jim

+++++ Original Review Text +++++++++

I bought these to replace the H4 halogens in my VW based, fiberglass bodied dune buggy.

Reason I Choose these; As one can see, there are many LED H4 replacement bulbs to choose from. Reading the reviews, all of them seem to have a mixed bag of how long they lasted (short lived where for example one went dead after very little use). I choose LASFIT because they were priced well (not the least expensive, not the most expensive) and because in reading the review, it seems the vendor is very (very very) responsive to reviews where people's bulbs have failed. So unlike other vendors, at least this vendor seems to monitor the reviews closely and do their best to try to have satisfied customers. Kuddo's to them for that. IF I have an issue with my bulbs, their track record at least seems very good in trying to make things 'right'.

Installation; For me, the installation was a breeze. Simply unplug the H4 halogens and un-clip those bulbs from the light housing. Clip in the LASFIT bulbs, plug the connector back on.. done. Pretty simply.

Performance; The bulbs are quite bright indeed. Blow the H4 halogens out of the water. I have some pics of side by side usage and will update this review with the pics. The color is a nice bright white.. like LED's on new cars and trucks. I do not prefer the blue tint white, and these bulbs do not exhibit that 'blue'. Fans; One can hear the cooling fans whirling around. It is not loud at all, but you do hear it. It really is fine. In some other reviews people comment it is loud. It is not. It is not silent. BUT what do you expect.. there is a fan running. Expect to hear a mini fan. Rather have it and know my bulbs are being actively cooled off. When the engine is running one cannot even hear it.

High / Low Beam; The downside.... I gave the bulbs a 4 rating. The negative is that the diff in light between the high and low beam, at least for me, seems almost undetectable. On either setting , the lights are plenty (and I mean plenty) bright enough. One does not even need 'brighter' (using a high beam). But what is helpful on a high beam setting is the diff angle of light projection (to illuminate more of the upper 1/2 of the line of sight). So although more 'brightness' is really not needed between low / high setting on these bulbs, what is missed is the 'high' angle of projection. For me, I seldom use the dune buggy at night, so no big deal for me. Not a deal breaker.

Long Term Life of Bulbs; I seldom use the dune buggy.. it is just a fun thing to drive once in a blue moon. I may put 12 hours of use on it all season before being put away for the winter again. I use it even less at night.. seldom... maybe 2 hours a year. So for me, if a bulb fails, unfort, it is likely to be 2 years down the road, but reflect only about 2 hours of use. If one fails then, I hope the vendor helps me out. Given what appears to be a responsive vendor, that is why I went with them for these bulbs.

Cheers - Jim

Great LEDS For 08 GMC Sierra.....

I must say I was skeptical buying LED headlights, but I read reviews on these LASFIT bulbs and they all seemed to be pretty positive. Also the price of these bulbs compared to many other brands was very economical, actually not much more if any more than the standard halogens. I bought both high and low beams to fit my 08 GMC Sierra and have to say, so far they are awesome. The fitment was great, and they put out very bright white light. The light output seems to be symmetrical. I am very pleased, only time will tell how they last in the long haul.
From OW to WOW

I finally got the LED lamps installed in my 2002 F150 with the stock reflector housings. I had no problem installing the locking ring onto the lights, nice take apart design. On the initial turn on, the bulbs projected a very well defined horizontal beam of light, with a small rectangular spot above the horizontal line from each light, and a dark spot between the two beams. The low beam "reach" down the road, was way shorter than my old halogens. I drove this way for a few nights and found this to be very distracting. I thought about what was happening, and came to the decision to realign the lights, It made a huge difference, from ow to wow! I was able get rid of the dark spot, Increase the low beam reach beyond my old halogens, and reduce the intensity of the rectangular spots. I have been driving a few nights now and nobody has flashed me, I thought the lights might be too bright. I have concluded that a well defined light pattern and proper aiming, are key to not blinding on coming drivers. This experience also points out that halogen and LED's do not have the same optical properties, and before you judge the LED's performance they must be realigned. I am very pleased so far with these LED headlights. I am also glad I purchased the LS series, the highest power.
Does the job

Quite good. I've installed H7 in a German car (frustrating as ****), H11 (piece of cake), H10 (also easy; foglights), and these 9007 in a Jeep (2005 Liberty, slight difficulty). Seems to be quite good quality.
A warning to 9007 users: You will have a devil of a time getting a good beam pattern on the road. Halogens don't do much better, and the first clue would be how the 9007 halogen bulb has two filaments about a millimeter apart. This LED bulb actually does better than the halogens, but compared to the clean cutoff of a H7 low beam, it frankly stinks. This LED bulb illuminates a forward LED for high beam and rearward for low beam; it works, and with the overall huge increase in illumination it works fine, but if you're hoping LEDs will give you the crisp beam pattern you've been missing, keep on dreamin'. I ended up adjusting the headlights to point down significantly from the factory setting; I didn't want to blind oncoming drivers.
Plusses: The collar (in the red ring) is terrific, the best I've seen. It has a snap-lock design, much better than the ones with screws.
Cons (the loss of one star): The routing of the cable out through the black vinyl strain relief is annoyingly stiff, and makes using the vehicle's mounting collar kind of a pain. And, it's really a non issue, but the two lights are slightly different color! They're just different enough to be noticeable on a concrete roadway; nothing I'd send them back for, but an indication that the manufacturing just hasn't quite matured.

All in all, recommended; LED replacements have finally come of age, and I'm happy as heck to finally have decent nighttime illumination.

Note the Jeep has no CANbus, so I can't comment on that compatibility.
