Definitely Worth it if your OEM halogens are lacking in the fast emerging and blinding era of LED headlights.

All and all I'm impressed and this is a well designed high value product (unless it kraps out- I'm 2 weeks in!). Application is a 1996 Honda Civic with very clear well adjusted OEM lenses. These replaced 100 high beam/55 watt low beam Hella Halogens which were a vast improvement over OEM level bulbs. I had not upgraded the wiring to carry the extra current the Hellas draw so I was not getting everything I could out of the Hella's as this era Honda has what looks like 20-22 gauge wiring, but still- the Hella's are pretty good, and in a couple respects still a little better than these really good LED's.

Low Beam: The Halogens cast more light to the side and down the road more evenly and further, but definitely not as brightly.

The LEDs are much brighter in front of the car from close to mid range, and make plenty of light to drive legal speeds and be seeing the road within the ars braking zone.for a given reasonable speed on unlit secondary roads.

If you are really moving and no one with LED headlights is coming, the Halogens illuminate further down the road.

The LED high beams are certainly much brighter than the Halogens, but the focus is narrower. On a secondary road with nobody else around, the halogen high beams are a fair bit better at lighting up everything in front of you more evenly at a lower broader brightness.

Where the LEDs are making a big difference for me is that my eyes are looking at more intense white/blue light all the time since that is what I'm looking at right in front of me all the time, so when a car with LED headlights is coming down the road at me my eyes are already running at a lower bandwidth so they accept the brightness..... much better. This is a huge advantage for the LEDs.

The LED headlights also do an absolutely great job of lighting up anything with reflective material on it. Dot markers, signs, cyclists and pedestrians wearing reflective safety reflective gear are all eye poppingly illuminated. That is a big plus as well.

The LED package was a little fussy to clip into the OEM headlight receptacle, but they did fit and index correctly, and the designers of the product had to work hard to make that happen. The OEM boot does not fit over the back or the LED package, but in my application that does not seem to be an issue as the headlight area does not get splashed from behind. Since the LEDs require a fan, the inside of the housing is being kept dry from condensation by the movement of warm air, so not having the boot seems to be a non issue.

The fans make a little bit of noise, but I only notice it is the car is not running with the headlights on. A non issue for me.

Since these headlights draw 1/6th or so of the current of the Halogens, the electrical system is working less, so all of the electrical components of the charging and storage system will last longer. This is evident when I start the car with the headlights on- they barely dim. If Im dumb enough to leave the headlights on, Im going to be way better off with these in the car. That could be huge some night out in the sticks..

I have been buying aftermarket headlights for 30 years or so as I like driving and driving safely, and if I can drive safely at a higher rate of speed or avoid a critter because I can see them from further out I am happy to pay more to do so. These raise the game.

I could never quite buy into the hacking required to install HIDs into halogen systems, so I've tried many Halogens over the years and own a car with HIDs. The OEM HIDs (Volvo) are still significantly better than these LEDs, but it is obvious to me that these LEDs represent a significant upgrade over OEM and many really good aftermarket halogens, and I'll venture a guess that the few areas where these are not quote as good will go away when the next generation of them is released.

It is a little like saying good by to Vinyl records as I preferred analog music- I still prefer the cast and warmth of filament light, but time marches on, and these LEDs are better than halogens.
I'm finally done with HID retrofits forever, these are good

Initial impression is good all around and great for the price. Color is very clean white, no yellow or blue. Some people like a little blue, I don't and these don't have any. I'd say these are about 4500-5000k color. Brightness is great and as bright as all the HID's I've ever owned. I get no flicker and no bulb out codes, and they fire up instantly unlike all the problematic HID's I've ever owned. Only reason I didn't give 5 starts is the pattern and aiming could be better but are acceptable as is.
Very bright lights, that may need to be adjusted

These lights are so much better than the stock lights on my 2011 4Runner. I would highly recommend these to anyone wanting brighter/better lights. There is just one thing I had an issue with and that was installation. My 4Runner only allows for smaller lights to be installed due to a tight fit because there is a metal piece right there as you pull out the bulbs. The metal piece is about 2 inches away and leaves very little room to remove even the stock bulbs. So these lights are a little bigger on the back end because of the fan in there and you cant install these light without modification. I was forced to cut out part of the metal and then put a rubber grommet over it so it doesnt look bad. This is only for 2011 4Runner, I am not sure about other years as it may be different. Other than that these lights are fantastic! Just be aware of the positioning of them. I had a lot of angry drivers flashing at me because they were a little too high. I had to adjust them and aim them down a bit so I dont blind everyone.
Simple installation, brilliant light output - worth it

I'm thoroughly satisfied with these bulbs. I originally bought them for my wife's 2012 Camry SE since she had a headlight out, but if she didn't like them, I was going to upgrade my 2016 Civic EX and just give her standard bulbs. Needless to say with a simple installation and a quick night time drive, she loved them and I got a pair for my Civic anyway.

Since I rarely ever use my fog lights I might never upgrade those (H11), but the high beams are definitely next on the list for both cars. The picture is a view from the Civic.
Get them, They are great!

I love these! Much brighter than the OEM (original) head lights, I don't hear a fan at all, I don't see weird dark spots while driving, I don't have people flashing their brights at me, I have no issues with them flickering and they fit easily into my 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500. The plug does feel a little bit loose, so I just wrapped electric tape around the connections just in case. I will update if they fail, if not, then assume I'm still loving them every night. Oh, and they still work fine during the day while the truck has the running lights on.
