Old review: The third prong was bent then broke off completely. Will be requesting an exchange.
New review: I just received my replacement blacklight bar and looks to be in perfect condition. I plugged it in and it lights up perfectly, the remote took a moment to get the hang of because i thought the power button was supposed to turn the light off. After some fiddling around i figured out that its the "back out" button that shuts the light off and the power light just turns the light back on. In the manual the "back out" button is labeled as "black out" which would make more sense considering you're blacking out the lights.
Anyway, I've changed my review to five stars because the blacklight itself is fantastic and the seller was kind enough to send me a new one free of charge after i contacted them about the one with the broken prong. They didn't even make me send the broken one back. Now THAT is good customer service! Will buy again in the future.

These lights are amazing! I originally bought a regular florescent blacklight and was happy with it until I bought this bad boy. It is so much brighter and covered a lot more square footage. We were in a long room and I ended up needing one more so there would be one light on each side of the room. The light from the florescent bulbs extend only a foot or so in front of them and I would've needed at least 10 to even begin to get the same coverage of one LED which covered at least 10-15 feet. I was very happy with the end result and ended up giving away the lame florescent light. LED is the way to go. Just don't look at the lights by mistake. They are bright and you will see spots. Don't ask me how I know.

This is a real quality light and will make items glow at a decent distance. As one reviewer notes with pictures, it casts a purple light and is bright. You don't want to look at it! It worked perfectly for my blacklight party as it lit up a decent portion of a large room rather than just a foot or so that other blacklights will give you. I'm happy with the purchase.

This light bar works better than 4 x 48" fluorescent bulb lights put together. I put it on the second floor railing that looks over the living room and it lit up the entire downstairs area. Not overtly bright at that distance and it made all of the fluorescent body paint show up on the party goers. We drank, got naked, painted each other and danced around until the sun came up and this light held up nicely all night. The only reason I do not give this black light five stars is because it's almost too bright. However, this is the best I have ever purchased. This is far more effective than a fluorescent. If you want to light up larger rooms grab a couple or more of these and you will be happy you did. This is what I would recommend if you were planning black light parties.
