I owned a Fagor for the past 6 years until the handle melted again. The company has gone out of business now, so I couldn't order a replacement handle like I did in the past. I decided to pay more for a Fissler this time. This is a very high quality pressure cooker. The stainless steel is thicker than the my old Fagor, and the seal is much higher quality. I think this will last me for a lot longer than 6 years. It is definitely worth the extra money.

I love this pot. It's not too small, not too big. I use it for cooking spaghetti sauce with Italian pork sausage. No problem at all. Made the house smell wonderful ... like old times. Use the insert to prevent the sausage from burning. Love this pot ... would no regrets on this purchase.
