They have been water proof. I do like them but one broke, like completely. I had it out on the town, was a great way to keep my phone and ID in without having to bring a purse. By the end of the night it had completely fallen apart and I lost my ID. The parts are not made to be opened and closed a lot apparently. The other one did work ok when it's just kept inside. You can use your phone through the pouch and take pics which is nice. I did take it to a water park and it help up in the splash play house area and stuff. Just don't open and close it a lot because the pieces fall off.

This product really does the job. I was skeptical at first, when I got in the water I was putting in above water. Then my son wanted me to dunk him and I forgot about having my phone around my neck and I swam under the water for a good 10 seconds, I then pulled the waterproof case up to see if any water was in it. NOTHING!! I would suggest squeezing air out first before you turn the wheels to tighten, as it will create a bubble. Other than that this is GREAT! Totally worth it and such a good price too!
