I have a heavy oversized screen door that had the usual horrible black household air cylinder closer. Not only was it inadequate, it slammed the door shut on the frame and damaged the flange on the frame, causing it to stick. The previous homeowner had left this in place for decades.
This device is a solid, heavy, hydraulic closer that really does the job. It has numerous installation options, so it will fit in most, but not all spaces.
Unfortunately, the instructions are not all that helpful. If you are not comfortable interpreting poorly written, or not clearly diagrammed, instructions, then you are going to be frustrated installing this. That is the only Eason I gave it 4 stars, instead of 5.

I am very pleased with this product. It arrived on time and the instructions were clear. I would recommend that if this is the first door closer that you have fitted that you spend time looking at the videos that are available. This was my first and I took a little longer but everything worked out fine and the templates provided were a real help. The location was a heavy outward opening outside door and I used the parallel arm method of installation which has worked well. Absolutely satisfied.

I was replacing an worn out similar closer. Instructions were very simple and the new closer works very well. I simply marked the position of the the old closer pivot shaft on the door jam and position the new closer such that its shaft was in the same position. This required 4 new holes in the door, but two of the old holes are hidden by the new unit. I then reused the existing holes in the jam for the lever arm attachment. Installation took me 20 minutes.
