I got this antenna to replace one that was doing an okay job but could do better. The reception on this antenna was immediately better and channels that were formerly coming in as pixelated are now resolved and clear. My only complaint is the notion and/or implication that this is made of some sort of material that magically clings to any smooth surface. Rest assured - it does not. It is made of completely smooth plastic and there is nothing adhesive about it. Maybe it's supposed to come with some kind of mounting tape or something? I have no idea, ours didn't. So it's currently propped up in the window just as our former antenna was but since it's round, I've ordered some Command strip hooks to use to hang it either near the window or possibly on the back of the TV itself...haven't decided.

This product it's ok. I don't get as good of an image quality as I do with the other less expensive antenas sold in amazon.
I also didnt get channels consistently. One day I could watch an especific channel and the next day the antenna didn't pick it up. I had to stick this antenna out the window in order to get more channels. For the price I paid it's not worth the investment.

I've used othe antennas and they work better than this one. The image quality and amount of channels it accesed was better than this one.

I had to buy another antenna to see if I could get more channels... And I did.

I previously owned an Antennas Direct C1 ClearStream 1, which is basically this antenna, if you chopped it in half vertially, but with one other important difference. I live less than 10 miles from all the major broadcast locations in my area, but I kept having trouble pulling in two specific channels. The old antenna was supposed to be good for up to 40 miles, and most of the channels were coming in at max signal strength, or close to it. I had tried re-positioning the antenna many times to try to fix the problem, but nothing seemed to help.

Some additional research revealed that the two channels that were a problem were also the only two transmitting VHF signals instead of UHF. Long story short, although the old antenna was marketed as "HDTV capable," etc., it did not have a dedicated VHF portion of the antenna, but the ClearStream 2V does (it's that horizontal bar on top that is actually "rabbit ears."). As soon as I connected the new antenna and pointed it in the general direction of the broadcast towers, it was pulling in the 2 "missing" stations perfectly. Problem solved.

The antenna itself is well made and easy to put together. The old one held up well over several years. Just wish I'd known it wasn't VHF capable much earlier!

I installed this on March 2017. I used a compass on my phone to find the direction of towers in my area and I have it 15ft off the ground. I also purchased an electronic 200mb signal strength converter. I live about 40 miles from Charleston, WV and Huntington, WV. I can pick up most of the channels from both cities. There are about 4 channels that I should be pick up in their direction but either there are to many mountains in that direction of the those towers are broadcasting at a much lower power. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase. I am glad I purchased something that reaches out past 40 miles or I may not have been able to get the 20 crystal clear channels that I now get. I will later on purchase a device that will allow me to DVR shows over the antenna to watch at my convenience. If you have doubts on your signal strengths from the towers or the distance make sure you get an antenna that is suppose to reach 10-15 miles further than you actually need to get a good signal. I may later on try to put my antenna up to 20ft to see if I can pick up the four stations that I can't reach right now.

I hated having to put this together. I wouldn't call it "easy" as some of the other reviews state. Regardless, once I got it put together, I got the channels I really wanted (ABC and CBS) in northern Virginia, and they are VERY clear, which I love.

I hooked this up to my old cable input, and, oddly, only one of my TVs gets all the local channels. Two of my TVs don't get NBC. Admittedly, I haven't played with the antenna position yet, so I might be able to fix this. I'll play with the position tomorrow to see if I can get NBC.

Regardless, the channels are crystal clear, so I'd say this is a good buy.
