I have the MARS/Flavia Creation 500 machine at home, plus I have a Keurig machine and a Nespresso machine. (I like coffee). Hands down, the MARS machine is superior and its funtionality, and the coffee (in my opinion) is superior. At work, I have access to the Barista version of the MARS Flavia machine, and it has a dedicated Espresso feature (you can get Flavia Espresso pouches). That Espresso is superior in taste to the Nespresso product in my opinion.
These MARS machines are marketed as not intended for use at home, and were developed for work break rooms, etc. The company advertises that this approach reduces the instances of employees taking coffee (pouches, pods, K-cups, etc.) home from work for personal use. However, the machines are available to the public from many sources, and Flavia pouches are readily available on Amazon. I don't steal coffee from work, and I like having the same quality and variety of coffee, hot chocolate, espresso, soup, etc. at home.
So, to MARS and their recommended 'commercial marketing only' perspective, get a life- some of us like the same coffee at work and at home - and we don't steal from work.. And to anyone considering a MARS/Flavia machine, I highly recommend the product and love having it available for use at home.

I bought the MARS Flavia Creation 500 because my co-share office space had one in the co-working area, and after using the machine and tasting the beverages it produces, I wanted the convenience of having one in my desk area. I shopped around and found a new-in-the-box machine for half the price it is currently being offered on Amazon.

So far, I have not encountered a flavor pack that was not to everyone's liking. At initial blush, it seems pricey"”that is, until you compare it to Starbucks' products. In particular, the teas are quite good. My office mate uses the latte feature frequently and loves it. I drink beverages unadulterated, and have always found the flavor to be of high quality.

I understand the (highly exaggerated) complaints about the spray, and I am glad that I didn't let them deter me from purchasing the product. As a precaution from the reviews, to pre-empt any mess, I purchased cups that almost entirely fill the space in between where the coffee is dispensed and the machine's drip tray, and any ancillary spray ends up in the cup. With the exception of emptying and cleaning the tray with the discarded pouches, I have experienced literally no mess.

The machine is extremely easy to clean and maintain. I appreciated the ease of setup, as well. It can be either plumbed to a water source, or you can pour-fill the large-capacity water tank. The beverage flavor variety is unmatched by Keurig or any other single-serve product; and I believe the design of the flavor packets results in a better-tasting product.

I have also read complaints about uneven quality of the flavor packets (which come on rails), but after regular use for over a month, I have never had any grounds dispensed into the cup, or otherwise experienced the failure of a packet.

I highly recommend this machine for an office environment.

At my job they have like 4 of these with free coffe, tea, and hot chocolate packages. They are amazing and fast and just awesome. Hot coffee in seconds! Very cool and convenient! I would definitely buy one if they were like $200 unfortunately an $800 isn't in my budget.

Worked pretty well. Would jam unless you hit the hot water button before the coffee button
