I really like the ingredients in this food as opposed to most others on the market. My puppy loves it and has had no issue. Durning our first vet visit, they asked what we are feeding her and I showed her and the vet said it looks like she is eating better than we are. It is one of the most expensive kibble type foods out there which, I guess you get what you pay for.

After trying numerous dog food brands and options, it's safe to say that our pup is one seriously picky eater. But then we discovered this and everything changed. We've been loyal customers for several years now, and our dog absolutely loves it!

I have so much to say about the brand Orijen. I started feeding their cat food to my cat since he was a kitten and he is the healthiest cat i've ever known. So I started researching this food for my DOG. Mind you she will not eat any dry foods, shes very picky. She genuinely gets excited for this food and eats it immediately. For $100 this bag lasts me a long time and I have a 73-ish pound dog that eats 2 cups a day. She seems less sluggish and tired, her poops definitely look better as well. On top of that she puts on weight easy and i've actually seen good weight loss while on this food. Her skin and fur and softer than ever as well, same goes for my cat who eats this brand! It isnt the cheapest option but its so worth the extra money. You can get a $60 bag of dog food that may even be less food and itll just destroy their stomachs. Spend the extra money for a high quality food, I plan to feed orijen forever.

I rescued a 7 month old Husky recently. When I took her into the Vet for a wellness check, I had asked the vet what would be the best food for her. Without hesitation the Vet said Purina Pro Plan was the best! So trusting my vet I went out and bought the food.

I feed my dog the Purina Pro Plan food and she sniffed around it at first and ate it. The food gave her diarrhea. Knowing huskies have notoriously sensitive stomachs, i thought I'd try sticking to it to see if she normalized. It wasn't happening.

During that time decided to educate myself on dog foods. Obviously fresh dog food is the best. I don't have time to scratch make dog food myself, and the fresh dog food in the big brand stores is either too expensive, or I cannot depend on them to keep it in stock regularly enough.

I came across Orijen dog food and the first thing I noticed were the ingredients. The first ten ingredients in a dog food is pretty telling. Here's the first ten for Orijen's Original Dog Food: Chicken, turkey, salmon, whole herring, chicken liver, dehydrated chicken, dehydrated turkey, dehydrated chicken liver, dehydrated egg, and dehydrated sardine. Did you see mention of any "by-products" or "meal"? Nope, because it's not there.

If you take a look at the first ten ingredients for Purina Pro Plan for puppies they are: Beef, rice, whole grain corn, poultry-byproduct meal, whole grain wheat, egg product, beef fat, pea fiber, fish meal and natural flavors.

Clearly Orijen is the winner here. What they put in their dog food is so much better for our four legged friends.

I switched my husky to Orijen's Original food and things have been great. She has a beautiful shiny coat. She has had no digestive issues. Her energy level has gone up and she enjoys this food!

Don't ask your vet what to feed your dog. There's a reason they suggest Purina and it's not because it's the best food for them. Do your research. Purina doesn't even make the top 20 when it comes to foods that are better for your dog.

We started using Orijen Senior when my dog - a wire fox terrier - turned ten years old. He is 15 now and still doing great. We feed him this for breakfast everyday, and cook for his dinner. While this dog food is expensive, it is worth every penny. As you can tell from the photo, even with my dog's advanced age his fur still has vibrant colors. I previously had two other wire fox terriers years ago, was not feeding them Orijen (didn't even know about it at the time), and by the time they reached about 12 years old, they had lost all their colors and turned completely white/grey.
You will quickly notice the high quality whenever you open the bag, the food is still quite moist and fresh.
We did in the past give him other Orijen food, but have stuck with the senior since it seems to really help him maintain a healthy digestive system.

If you have an older dog, I implore you to feed them this excellent dog food!
