My toddlers are too big to lay on it. Standing on it doesn't work well for them since it's concave and the feet are all in the middle so weight on either side can make it a bit tippy. This will work well for keeping the weights of our tortoises and possibly cats.
I think it would be best for a newborn baby where parents want to keep tabs on their weight.

The scale works perfectly for tracking the weight of my growing rabbits. It's very easy to use. For the safety of the rabbits, I place a towel/blanket on the scale as it's too slippery otherwise. The tare feature works well especially when I need to weigh in a basket for the particularly active bunnies.
Measurement units include gram, pounds/ounces, fluid ounce, and milliliter. Max weight is 66 pounds or 30 kilograms.
While I don't need the ruler on the scale for my purposes, it is a nice feature as you can measure at the same time you're weighing. The ruler goes up to 24 inches. The ruler has both inches and centimeters.
I like that it is battery powered, so I can use it outdoors where I do not have easy access to power. It uses 2 AAA batteries. It automatically turns off after 2 minutes when not in use.
The LED screen is clear and easy to read. The scale is light weight.

This is a very useful pet scale. The scale is light, thin and easy to carry. The scale has a built in tray for you to put your small-medium pet on. This scale will not weight larger animals due to the limited sized tray. No assembly is required. The tray has a measuring ruler so you can measure both your pet's weight and length.
The scale is power led by two AAA batteries (included). It also comes with an informative instruction manual on how to properly operate the scale. It does not come with a pad or towel for the tray. My bunny didn't like the plastic built-in tray, so I put his favorite towel on the top of the tray, zeroed the weight limit (with the towel) out and then put my bunny on it. You can also change the scale from lbs to kgs.

My vet told me that my cat needs to lose about 3 pounds. (I wish that's all I needed to lose"¦ lol). The problem is, there's no easy way to figure out if changing his diet has been effective without going to the vet and using their scale. My bathroom scale is not nearly accurate enough to do the job, and my kitchen scale is way too small; so this was pretty much my only option. This scale is super accurate and there is plenty of room to fit. Even the biggest of cats; and my cat doesn't mind getting on it at all. It also has a hold button, so when you get a nice steady reading, you can press it, and the weight on the display won't change in case my cat decides to bolt... It uses two AAA batteries, but considering that I am not weighing him every day, my guess is that these batteries will last quite a long time. The unit is light and slim, yet feels really well-made. Overall, I am happy to have this in my arsenal for controlling my cat's weight. Recommended.
